Your Moral And Intellectual Superiors

A few weeks after the media frenzy died down, it dawned on me - I could have made this whole thing up, and nobody would have been the wiser.

"...it blew my mind how the internet has changed the way a story is reported...But I’ve never, ever experienced anything like this–reporters, en masse, simply re-writing a blog post, with no fact checking or any attempt made to contact the author"

Hey, welcome to modern journalism: cut, paste, and publish...repeat. But what do you expect? Curiosity is as extinct as ethics and honesty. Besides, the masses aren't holding them to account, are they?

Layers and layers of fact checkers...

"Curiosity is as extinct as ethics and honesty" ..... and logic and common sense. Like one of my t-shirts say.....common sense is so rare it should be classed as a super power.

In a nutshell, that "could have made it all up" IS the story of journalism. At least in the last 20 years with the advent of the internet, we can call them out on all that stuff they have made up.

Aye, indeed. You know, a baby will spit out grub that tastes shitty - but a big percentage of adults will swallow any crap you feed 'em.

Activists of all stripes have taken advantage to the vacuum in real journalism. From the IPCC, to the Suzuki's of the world, to the anti smoking, drinking, eating and anything else you may enjoy activism because they know full well no one will research the actual research. Any research going against their preconceived "truth" is simply ignored wherever possible with full complicity of the MSM, which has painted itself into a corner by choosing sides on many subjects and now finds it almost impossible to come out after many years and say "we were wrong" even if the new evidence is slapping them in the face. They know that most headlines have a short life span and the new truth will quickly fade into the background. Then they wonder why the public is sceptical and the MSM is becoming less relevant each year. They don't yet seem to understand that the Net provides both sides to a story for the many that seek the truth. They have forgotten the earliest lessons in real journalism. What, when, where, why and how, from both sides of any story. That's why the economy is turning around, and thanks to Obama the price of gas has come down, and unemployment is now around 5%, "hands up- don't shoot" really happened and the cold that permeates the west is due to climate change as well as e cigarettes must be banned as they will kill millions and Obama is a staunch friend of Israel. I could go on all day with this MSM truth, but they don't seem to see the problem. I would bet most readers here do.

He could have told them he was raped by the 149 Bob Dylan Houston Street Studios Acetates named Barry The Conservative and they'd have printed it verbatim.

And then call himself two days later to check to see if his phone was still working.

Just the farts, ma'm, just the farts..........

I was going through notebooks my father found and brought back from the war. The first one starts as, "Mein Name ist Adolph . Dies ist meine Geschichte," and then goes on from there. I wonder if any would be interested?

It's important for us as a movement to try to punk the lamestream media as much as possible. The more people realize how easy it's done the more they realize they're manipulated and owned by lib-progs

Somehow I find it difficult to believe you've had you fathers notes from 70 years ago, titled This is my story and you've never been interested in translating them from German to English. Just something wrong about that.

Try the Canadian War Museum.
