About Kate
Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

Better to route them through Scottish satellites instead.
Happy Robbie Burns Day to all at SDA!
Sure. But why stop there? Why not add all White House communication and throw in the Pentagon for good measure? Once upon a time, the US could be relied upon for rational thought. It's been a while - at least 2008, I figure.
Daa. Yor house it is on fire in Plenty of Wood North Dakota? Where da h&;l iss dat?
who's the imbicil who came up with these idiotic idea probibly the same one who got four D's a f and H on their report card and sniffed glue at one time in their life
And GPS coordinates for locations in Canada would be sourced from ...?
With the launch of the Alouette-I satellite on September 29, 1962, Canada became the third nation to have a domestically built satellite in space. While the United States and Soviet Union pursued a space race fuelled (sic.) by geopolitical rivalry, Canada was motivated by the astute insight that satellites could play a critical role in linking together and developing a vast and sparsely populated country.
Canadian space revenues by sub-sector:
Satellite communications 79%
Global navigation 8%
Earth observation 7%
Robotics 3%
Sciences/other 3%
3.4 billion dollar industry as of 2010.
So, U.S. weapons systems are run by Chinese-made microchips, and now U.S. 9-11 calls will be routed through Russian controlled satellites.
That bothers me.

Not a glitch, Don, but a feature! If I was coming after you, I would like to know where the 1st responders are. But when are they going to start showing where the Allah I behead you goatf&^ers are?
In a statment on behalf of the FCC, spokesperson Alfred E. Neuman said there is no reason to be concerned.
If we were life long friends I could see the possibility of pondering this, but Obama's "reset" button was defective and this move would be illogical to say the least. Russia, China and Iran are strengthening alliances which can only be detrimental to democratic countries in the near and far future. What are these fools thinking ? They're not you say ? Of course......government..........different planet.
I trust the Russian government way more than the American government. What has happened to your sense? The US gov't betrays sometimes for the sheer pleasure of betrayal. Betrayal is Obama's meat and drink.
Plover, drinking and posting do not mix. Either sober up before you post or back away from the computer.
The plan is to use Russian GPS data for determining locations of 911 call. This data will supplement the data from US GPS sources in order to improve locational accuracies. Most phones are already capable of using GLONASS data for determining locations.
