About Kate
Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

If they're going to train them at all, why would they wait till spring? Wouldn't you start right away?
Oh, wait. At least by waiting to the warmer weather, Justine doesn't have to send over the coats and blankets to keep them warm.
Is this not unbelievable? Can you imagine WWII being run this way?
at least he's consistent

All according to plan, my dear.
It must be wonderful being a Muslim holy warrior these days, the infidel will train you and provide you with weapons that you can turn against HIM at your convenience.
Just stay out of there , offer the Christians sanctuary in our countries until things settle down then send em back. no training no weapons just get out and stay out.
terror against terror http://waltherpragerandphilosophy1.blogspot.com/2015/01/terror-against-terror.html
Why would Obamba worry now?
Doesn’t anyone remember the wonderful “Arab Spring”, the overthrow of Gaddafi and the looting of his armaments, or the abandonment of American military weapons in Iraq?
I remember John McCain on behalf of BO flying over to Syria to talk to the poor little “rebels” and then convincing congress to fund their support.
Now look at it.
Today we get to read articles like this one stating:
“...the Syrian civil war could explode well beyond its borders and even wash up in Europe and the United States if it dragged out long enough, and that’s exactly what happened.”
Yes indeed, and leaving the borders wide open has helped things along for us just as well.
One morning the Germans will wake up and think "Ach du liber, those Mooselimb schweinehunt can WALK from Syria to Munster!"
And then it will be -on-, as they say.
This will of course be after the French have death-marched hundreds of thousands from the no-go areas of Paris to the Turkish border. That will probably happen first, as the Frogs clear the decks to deal with the Germans. By aggressively surrendering and forcing the Krauts to assume the staggering French debt.
One of the commenters had an excellent notion. The Americans should send troops to Syria as soon as the Europeans have 15 divisions down there and under fire. I'd say that was an excellent notion.
Canada by contrast can use it for a training ground as we gear up and armor up for the coming showdown with the Russians and the Chicoms. More oil in Alberta than there is in the Middle East, we might have to fight those guys for it.
"Had ISIS been nipped in the bud at the beginning this might not have happened, but they’ve had years to build themselves up and grow stronger while an isolationist White House did nothing and let everything fester."
Shut up, Totten. I used to have respect for you. What? You too carry Obama's water for him now?
The White House wasn't 'isolationist'. They trained and armed ISIS to overthrow Bashar al-Assad after they had already done the same to Libya's Qaddafi.
Obama's CIA Ambassador Stevens was dribbling out advanced arms to ISIS from Benghazi Libya.
Stevens met with the Turkish Ambassador earlier on the day he was killed in order to coordinate the sophisticated arms supply to ISIS with Turkish support, which while covert in 2012, is openly displayed today to the world.
Syria has been a Russian client state for decades. Russia already had a secure honored lease for the naval base at the Ukrainian port city of Sevastopol for the foreseeable future.
'Brilliant chess master' Putin decided to use his limited troops and military assets needed to secure the Russian naval base at Tartus Syria, to instead invade Ukraine and secure the already safe Russian naval base at Sevastopol in Crimea.
Syria is Russia's to lose, not America's.
America has never had any influence on Syria in my lifetime. None. Zilch. Goose Eggs. NADA!
It's horrible that all those civilians are being butchered.
Putin cares about them as much as Obama does, which is to say not at all.

Bingo!
I've never been able to figure out what is so wrong with Assad. He looks to be the most moderate of the bunch competing for power.
Scar >
"He looks to be the most moderate of the bunch competing for power."
Exactly.
Not to mention that Syria is not well known for vast oil reserves in the region.
The last I checked, women can vote, drive, and go to universities in Syria, including Syrian Christians and even Jews.
Makes you wonder why the Liberal Left is so keen on replacing that with a Nazi influenced Islamic totalitarianism, yes?
We already get why Obamba want's to.
