The Liberal party is refusing to disclose details of an appeal of a nomination process that has triggered allegations of ethnic profiling and vote-suppressing robocalls in a downtown Toronto riding.
The party will not discuss the grounds for the appeal launched by engineer Marisa Sterling, who sought to become the Liberal candidate in the riding of Beaches-East York but who lost to lawyer Nathaniel Erskine-Smith at a nomination meeting before Christmas.

About Kate
Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

They both sound like awful candidates. A pox (plague) on both your houses!
*prepares popcorn*
You know what they say right? Never interrupt your enemy in the middle of a mistake.
I love it when Liberals fight. They fight so dirty, they get mud on everything around them.
Just who you want in Ottawa, eh?
“Voters who did not buy their own membership will be stopped from voting.”
Wow. The Liberals want to test people to ensure the legality of their vote.
Of course, nomination meetings are totally different from actual elections, just like the Democrats to the south. In real elections the dead can vote (depending upon who's counting the votes, and how the dead voted). If only both parties (Liberal and Democrat) could be held to "a vote is a vote, the level of proof of eligibility required for internal voting will be adhered to during full elections".
If you think the Liberals unilaterally disarmed you are kidding yourselves. They will decry any and all perceived and real mistakes by others and claim to be pure as new snow. But they WILL use the dark arts and probably more than others. It is a game for those around miniPet.
Forewarned is forearmed. But a happy warrior is better than a dour one....but you still need a warrior.
Robocalls!!?
I await Stephen mahers daily column on this...
I completely agree with Phantom - Lib-left progs are so craven and morally depraved when they are set against each other in a rat fight over power it's an open display of inhuman savagery you may only witness with two hyenas squared off over some scrap of rotting gore.
The last Lib rat fight between Joe Volpe and party rainmakers or Sheila Copps and the LPC brass were real no blow too low hair-pulling, fangs out gore-soaked spectacles - a public display of how desperately these sociopathic scum treasure power and personal gain over public service.
I say we set them at each other more often.
The rash of LPC contested nominations and the now open display of LPC leadership parachuting a Trudeau yes-man into the slot gives us a bigger picture of what is going on and what is on the hidden agenda of a Trudeau government. Essentially old guard liberals prone to reflexively dissent from the more radical agendas of the LPC are being tossed for either totally compliant bootlicks or radical left "true believers".
Trudeau (and his insipid entourage of Agenda 21 commissars) will construct a Canadian police state, tax our productivity into oblivion, stress the mid and lower classes into stagnant austerity with the resulting inflationary fallout and use junk environmental science as the moral cover. If this bumbling silver spoon Castroite attains power, it will be a good thing to consider moving your assets and/or business offshore.
You will witness a reprise of what happened down south with their mistake in voting Dem and getting a Marxist globalist - but with a larger emphasis on UN austerity policy enforcement:
Agenda 21 will go full monte in Canada (this is the UN plan to deindustrialize and strangle the west's productivity and competitive advantages)
- If you own a gun they will jail you one way or another,
- if you own a car you will have to pay inordinate taxes to keep it and use it,
- If you own a business which consumes energy they will use fees and taxes to close it or become surrogate partners,
- If you rely on the medical system you will die, population control(euthenaisia/abortion/eugenics) is big with the globalist cabal
- if you rely on transport or resource industry for your livelihood you will be unemployed.
- If you dissent there will be police pogroms and laws used to silence political opposition.
- Consumer spending will crash under the weight of all the hidden eco/carbon taxing in the supply chain.
- The economy will resemble the wasteland of stagflation and force us into multi job 60 hr service industry work weeks to compensate for the industrial capacity strangled by a federal globalist junta.
-in essence life in Canada will be approximate life in Cuba (the Trudeau model)but with snow.
The trough must be more lucrative than we suspected....when these LIBRANOs fight so viciously for a place.
Ah, Shiny Pony:
http://blogs.windsorstar.com/news/justin-trudeau-federal-government-must-support-auto-industry
“Mr. Harper’s economic vision has neglected the things that have always make Canada prosperous – diversity, balance and partnerships between regions and sectors,” said Trudeau. “We need a smart economic plan for Canada that includes all regions and sectors. A plan that recognizes that manufacturing advantages already exist in Southwestern Ontario — educated and skilled workers here — and uses that to innovate to Canada’s advantage.”
Auto bailouts (more than the obscene ones done already) for Eastern Canada, paid for by Western Canada. Oh, and his new schtick:
"We’re facing a real challenge right now in the community because the prime minister put all his eggs in one basket — and with the falling prices of oil he’s now having to make it up as he goes along.”
Projection and economic ignorance at it's finest as he trolls for votes in the automotive sector. Hmm, the Canadian economy looks pretty diversified to me:

His only idea is he doesn't like the ideas of the PM even though he has no ideas himself. Keep talking buddy, keep talking.
