Who can stop it? In Canada we have everything in place to allow such barbaric practice in the guise of both religion and multicultural policies with the Charter and Multiculturalism. The Left in Canada would never fight it,ditto the mouthy women's rights factions.

Very insightful comment Peter. The solution from our point of view is to meddle with their nice cozy system harshly, starting with when they get off the airplane and ratcheting up steeply when they apply for citizenship.

I would even go further. If Islam is their way of life, Allah is their god and Mohammed is the messenger , I would slam the immigration door shut because it will never work out. Incompatible as oil and water. Christianity is flexible to a large degree, even allowing for atheism and all other religions ( with the hope of conversion) where Islam has none of these allowances. I would allow only those that renounce the teachings of the Quran and incompatible customs into the country because there is hope they will adapt to a new way of life and leave their ideological baggage behind them . 10 year trial period during which time they can be deported at any time with no recourse or appeal if a panel of 3 judges agree they are not conforming for whatever reason. All other privileges open to them and they can apply for citizenship when the trial period is up. Written agreement and signed by all applicants. It's a long way from being politically correct but when I look around at the countries that have taken in Muslims on a large scale, and what's been happening in those countries, I don't have the slightest doubt that it will happen here too. Leftist policies and political correctness is destroying this country by denying the most elementary principal, that oil and water don't mix. Look around the world and show me the one place where they do.

Further, the practice of FGM is hardly a teaching of their faith; but rather a tribal leftover from ages past, for those of us who have bothered with an introductory study of cultural anthropology. It isn't a faith practice, but rather a stone age practice.

FGM cures no disease, nor repairs any function. It is not a medical procedure which heals or prevents anything.

The teaching of the Christian faith hardly commends the practice of mutilation. Rather JC spent a goodly amount of time healing...

Hardly the type of teaching that recommends mutilation with rusty knife!
