Magna Carta: A Documentary

My home is my castle? Freedom to associate? Enshrined in the Charter of Rights and Freedom for Criminals and Illegals?

They lost me with that BS right there. They won't mention one word about what guberment has STOLEN from Magna Carter to enslave the tax payer.

"Justhinkin", you don't appear to be thinking much this evening. For a moment, put yourself in the mind of a teenager or 20-something Canadian. If someone were to tell them that whatever the government says, goes, what arguments do they have to debate such a person? If they were "educated" (aka indoctrinated) in the public school system then probably none.

I believe this documentary is an attempt to put some fresh ideas in the minds of Canadians who have never thought about such things before. Think of it as an antidote to the Leftists teachings of academia and the CBC. That seems like a pretty worthwhile thing to me.

Correct, and it's time to start naming the enemy! I expect that John Robson will incorporate the notion of government overreach causing that erosion of individual freedom.

I brought up the importance of the Magna Carta on the air with John Gormley, during the last General Election, as a candidate. He didn't believe it was relevant to an election.
We have the rights we are willing to defend.

With a post-liberty Marxist narrative in media, govt,. and public schooling, it is time to get the couter-narrative of freedom and liberty in public discourse.

Section 26 of the charter recognizes our rights and liberties that pre-existed the narrow jurocrat-regulated truncated rights in the charter.

Magna Carta is the core document for inherent commonlaw rights, civil liberties and rule of law. All uber-state power structures in the commonwealth ,of necessity, usurped the power of the people to direct government and public policy - they did so by eclipsing the Magna Carta's rule by inviolable commonlaw right(and its safeguards of absolute civil rights and liberties) with rule by statute law (which only recognizes the rights it is willing to give up to the people) - in the current Canadian charter the control freak Uber-state says so, in section 1, that their (government) statute trumps your inalienable Magna Carta common law rights - but section 26 offers an opportunity to demand the state respect these inherent rights.

I applaud Robson and support him in spreading the word of inherent Canadian liberty - it's time the dialogue shifted from control freak statism to civil liberty and populist democracy.

It is good to light a candle AND curse the darkness.
