Classroom Correction

Professor Judy Haiven’s idea that women should always speak first in classroom discussions and at public events was brought up several times during the forum. Haiven said she already tries to apply this idea in her own classroom… “In the management department, women get to speak first.”

By which the professor means, male students aren’t allowed to speak first.

Haiven’s idea was met by a round of applause.

  1. Well thanks for ‘courting’ my opinion…”The Court of Inhuman Relations.”
If I wanted your opinion, I would tell you what it is!

  2. You know, for a there minute I almost thought this ‘progressive stack’ bullshit from OWS had been laughed out of the building…

  3. When Stalin had a meeting, the first person that spoke was later executed,
he didn’t give a damn what color you were.

Professor Judy Haiven would have had piss running down both legs if she were in a real Socialists Management meeting.

  4. Let Professor Haiven have her “women speak first” rule. Everyone will know it means she doesn’t believe what they say is worth hearing.

  5. Ah Dalhousie at its best.
The unique smell of east coast salt sea air carefully
accented with hand worked organic Marxist bullshit.

  6. HAR HAR HAR! These hairy chested feminists and their beta male followers are really top shelf. The comedy alone makes them worth the time to listen to them.
Whenever I am involved in controversial decision processes – I almost insist that my opponents speak first.(And yeah, they are usually women too – go figure). If they go first, any mistakes they make are there for me to take advantage of when I present my rebuttal. Decades of planning sessions, inside baseball and office politics have taught me that it’s the LAST word that counts – not the first.
By all means, Chickie! Ladies first!

  7. Best Quote from comments:
“From my daughter’s class on college culture, taught by a very earnest female instructor:
“Do you know what ‘respect” means?” she asked.
The Russian exchange student replied laconically:
“Is when you pretend to listen even when (it)is stupid.”
My daughter fell off her chair laughing.” Nikw22

  8. Of course they should be allowed to speak first. That way you get the idiocy out front and gone right away. Then you can carry on with the real stuff. Feminists = crap

  9. Lefty-arts universities: where feminist moms can drop off their kids at subsidized day-care and then proceed to their own subsidized adult day-care.

  10. Well all I can say is I am really glad I am not a women. Many of them seem so screwed up… it’s like they want to men but not really … what a horrid way to do through life … wishing you were a man, but not wanting to be an icky man. I think it’s power they want.
Well, I love being a man and so do all the men I know …. we don’t have all the manufactured problems of women. We are happier than women. We don’t have groups and organization by the hundred to try to help us deal with being men. Smiley face .. here.

  11. Clown Party, yes, that comment was a beauty.
Glasnost, that is pretty much it these days.
We are slowly being turned into a Soviet Marxist society.

  12. Just another cracked urn for women to ignore like with Shertle Crow and her silly Toilet Paper advice

  13. I found it interesting that the water carrier in the photo was a guy – at least I think he was…This is so much bullshite. And Clownparty that was priceless – because it was spot-on

  14. There are many many laws on the books to make women equal to men. What does that tell you?

  15. Progressives always try to one-up one another, trying to be purest, most authentic and sinless. Academia is dying a slow death.

  16. Since they want women to speak first, maybe we should offer to open the door for them on the way in and out of class, stand when they enter the room if we are already seated, and lift our hats when they pass by. Oh, I’m sorry, I remember now, they wanted to leave the misogynist 1950’s behind and have themselves treated on equal terms. — I guess not.

  17. Progrssivists want all americans disarmed just like other od histories well know pregresivists like Hitler,Stalin,Kruschev,Mao,Castro,Marx and Lennin

  18. Brilliant idea, each discussion requires a Lesbian, quadriplegic with Turrets(however it is spelt) syndrome to lead off the talking point of the day.
Of course an ethically correct person would be even better…
Same reason I insist we need a tax on all do-gooders, working longer to finance the parasitism of freaks like this fine “professor” is insane.

  19. I haven’t read the whole article…I will…but the lead in makes me think of the old days…’ladies first’…oh wait…that’s so misogynist cuz they don’t like the title ‘ladies’, and they aren’t weaker, and that would imply male dominance..but…if they go first that is like the old days, right?

  20. What a gathering of crappola! Good thing the “water boy” knew his place and didn’t say anything.Seems everyone there had their own reason and slant on misogyny, be it gay, transgendered or colour. Thing was, for their two minutes of intro they laid out their view of the world and woe be the person who didn’t agree. I didn’t watch to the end but I wouldn’t have been surprised if they hung a (male) dentist in effigy. I’d honestly hate to be a male on campus these days. I’d probably get expelled by the thought police.
Oh how I long for the days of Engineers (soon to be) and Engineering Week complete with Lady Godiva’s ride or the purple beer fridge in the eng student’s office, stocked by the local Labatt’s rep.

  21. All is not lost. Below are the results of a poll on the idea done by UNEWS which is a Kings College journalism student run website. Only 44 of 3756 votes cast think this is a good idea.
