Picking up on what one commenter wrote in SDA a short while back, more than anything else, a good many of these tweets suggest serious problems with mental illness.

Exactly. There are many disturbed people around these days and somehow many of them have attained positions of power.

It’s the modern day version of watching the inmates in Bedlam except that the inmates in this instance are out and about and have a committed following. Maybe not “committed” enough as it comes to that.

This may not be too far from the truth Ken. There is a consensus between historians, human behaviorists and anthropological psychologists that holds that the ruling or leader cast in human society has always been sociopathic and attracts psychopaths – witness the Obama phenomina, Putin, PET, Stalin, FDR, Hitler and numerous monarchs, religious poobahs and sundry social engineers, on a personal agenda to force nations and people into their molds. It is a sociopathic impulse to force or manipulate masses of people into accomplishing your goals. Functional psychopaths are charming, intelligent and utterly ruthless in getting their way – all have inspired visions and feel justified in achieving this personal goal by all means including poroms, war and genocide.
Think about this when some political demagogue declares “war” on some social item – say drugs or guns or poverty or carbon – these are open declarations of pogroms and they signal the sociopathic reflex of the ruling class – and it appeals to directionless neurotics in the masses.
Bottom line is , these days never prescribe brilliance or vision to some social meme or ideological trending in the twittering class – a large percentage of it is based in abnormal psychological tics or full on neurosis – this is the hall mark achievement of the times, adoption of perverse logic and errant philosophies which impact the sanity of the masses.

As most sensible persons refuse to assume positions of power over their peers only the foolish or driven will seek these positions.
We have endless petty bureaucracies to house the fools and bandits.

The more I hear from these spoiled children the more I liken them to children. We protect our children from themselves until such time as we feel they should start taking responsibility for their actions. In our modern world those consequences do not have the chance to play out. The enviros are tearing down dams, blocking oil, inhibiting fracking, demonizing coal, all without experiencing the results of their mistakes. Actually the Calif drought is one of the results but the idiots who instigated it don’t live with the results. As Kate has previously stated we need a famine. Failing that ship ’em all to northern Albert/Saskatchewan (and I mean NORTHERN)to spend a winter in a wood fired cabin, a trap-line, and an axe to cut the 2′ ice covering the water source. Once they acknowledge what idiots they were they can come back to civilization and all the things they take for granted.
LMAO! Am I surprised by this? Nope! The kids are indoctrinated but profoundly confused.
Case in point: today’s ubiquitous ‘Food Security’ and ‘water rationing’ programs that caution of droughts and famines, which kind of ring hollow during our harvest festivals that urge people to buy their tickets for abundant wine and artisan food tastings. (“Eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow you may die.”)
The product of a sick education system going back a couple of generations now. It can only get worse, as these people will also breed. Unfortunately it will take a major reset to bring sanity back into the norm. It will all look different to those that survive and still have the strength to navigate the rubble.
Let’s just say that this type of nonsense is the reason it has been so easy for me to resist the urge to ‘tweet’. I am simply not into mindless drivel.
