1. Now all of sudden the band wants to use whitey’s courts to sort out their affairs. The Irony!

3. I have a better idea.
   Offer every Indian over the age of 18 a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: $250,000 on the condition that they are no longer an Indian – just an ordinary Canadian, with the same rights, opportunities and obligations as the rest of us.

4. Indian lore says they own all the land those who develop, work and pay taxes on which then supports them on reserves. That support is dependent on how much the various Chiefs decide to mete out and how much to keep for themselves to keep control, more live in squalor than not then the blame goes to the Government of the day. A good example is Attawapiskat and Fishy Chief Spence who was living large with her boyfriend as financial manager, her people not so well.
   The idiocy was on display as the various opposition parties supported her bogus hunger strike against the Conservative government, including failed PM Paul Martin, her tent on the Hill was a gathering place of all the Leftists who came to hold her hand in sympathy.
   The idiocy doesn’t stop there, they are above our laws but are happy to use our courts to go after big bucks from one source, we the taxpayers, we are being laughed at by these people who claim to be status Indians, some with a very small percentage of Indian lineage in their DNA.
   Who are the biggest fools of all? I think we know the answer and as long as we have gutless political leaders who refuse to stop the robbery, the sham, it will continue.
   Do any of the Indians really think they would have survived without intervention and developments by the white man? How many are actually living off the land in their traditional abodes, relying on medicine men to cure their ills?

   I always read about how Canada is considered one of the least corrupt countries when it comes to doing business transactions. It gladdens my heart to know that first nations are maintaining the traditional knowledge required for the ancient art of “greasing the palm.” Good thing the tradition is being passed-on from the elders to a new generation.

This tribe is still after the 2000+ acres of the old Riverview hospital site, it is beautiful, gently sloping grounds with dozens of still usable buildings on site and hundreds of unique specimen trees of considerable age. There was a nascent movement to grab this land away from the residents of Coquitlam but it was quickly overshadowed by this scandal, now the dust is starting to settle, look to the tribe to try and blackmail more millions out of greater Vancouverites in further imaginary “land claims”.
