Fauxtography at the CBC.

It's not the first time.

There is no doubt that Ezra Levant is telling it the way it is. The CBC has been showing footage of industrial smoke stacks from refineries and power plants in sub zero weather and from all parts of the world.

The problem is convincing those people who believe the lie when it's easier to believe the lie than to look for the truth.

To relate a photo taken in Poland with the Conservative party of Canada or Alberta is outright fraud. But who ever questions the CBC except Ezra Levant of course.??

They wouldn't know the truth even if they found it.

"But who ever questions the CBC except Ezra Levant of course.??"

I do. That said, I'm also glad that our Conservative federal government isn't trying to achieve the emissions targets that were set by the previous previous Chretien government who, while they were in power, did absolutely NOTHING to try to achieve the draconian emissions targets that they so cravenly signed my country up for either.

It's going to be a long cold winter.

The sheeple don't watch CBC for factual 'news' or 'truth', but rather to get their preconceived notions validated by a talking head they 'trust'. They already know how they feel, their whole social network is defined by those feelings; that's who they are. They sure as hell don't want those feelings confused by inconvenient facts.

Ezra did an excellent job of debunking CBC's propaganda.
People who watched Ezra's presentation will be well armed to engage slack-jawed CBC viewing drones with facts on this particular issue.

Ezra always excels at debunking CBC propaganda. Hopefully he's not just preaching to the choir. The message has to get through to that vast population of middle of the road Canadians who actually decide the election. The voters at the extremes just cancel each other out.

“Never attempt to teach a pig to sing; it wastes your time and annoys the pig.” ― Robert A. Heinlein

Quoted Robert A. Heinlein's character Lazarus Long from Time Enough for Love.

I guess it needs to be said that countering hidebound CBC viewers isn't the goal, it's about influencing the undecideds who don't watch MotherCorp that may be listening in on the dialogue.
That's why I argue with trolls like you, north-of-60. I don't imagine I'll affect you.
It's about countering your Leftist tripe with the truth.

Argue? No, what you do is trolling for attention. Keep it up it only shows your true character. I've always voted conservative, you obviously wouldn't know a leftie from a fencepost. You sure spend a lot of your attention on your interpretation of what someone else says. Try to state your opinion instead, if you can manage to formulate a coherent one. Go ahead, give it a try, you can do it. Jump, rollover, go fetch.

This just confirms what I have thought for over twenty years, that the whole bunch at CBC are nothing but a bunch of cheap liars that get paid 1 billion of our hard earned tax dollars.

Typical Soviet style propaganda.

You're right, it's only left-wing propaganda, that's why I haven't watched CBC TV for almost a decade, and I avoid reading the Globe and Mail for the same reason. Unfortunately the CBC has become a sacred cow mostly supported by the Toronto elite who believe they are the center of Canada, and the rest of us are just colonials.

Not just Tranna, but the Lower Brainland and Vancougar Island, these are also hotbeds of climate angst. Liz May, chief priestess of the Church of Gaia, was on the mothership today lamenting the lack of climate action. She was almost weeping as she related the sad tale of showing up at a climate angst affair of some kind, where she was berated for being Canadian. Her leftie credentials meant nothing to the fellow hand-wringers. Sort of funny really, all that angst and only a seat in the rafters of the House of Communists to show for it.

Shouldn't laugh, I suppose I'll be first off to the camps when they round up the climate criminals.

John, I thought you were talking about kristians there for a minute. People are believers by nature and none of them want their "truth" questioned. It's not WHO it's WHAT.

One has to watch the CBC to become upset with their content. I quit that exercise almost 10 years ago. Apparently the CBC has a hardcore support group of about 5% of the Canadian population who enjoy their BS. What is truly unfortunate is that CTV and Global are not that different.

The old adage that if you tell a lie long enough it will become truth is what the left wing press counts on. With a lot of people this is very true. Critical thinking is not used by many.

In the professional world of photojournalism (yes, Victoria, it does exist), photoshopping news images for print is a huge ethical no-no, and will get PJs fired and blackballed. However, the increasing advocacy-politicization of the media conglomerates themselves means the editorial front office does not share the ethics. Media are dumping their PJs all over the world in order to save their deadtree media, issuing video capable cell phones to staff writers and telling them to be the photog and the writer both. Most media writers share the ethics of their paycheque, and ethical PJs are now largely out of work.

CBC Radio still airs some programs worth listening to in their own right, but the main reason to listen is to understand the cognitive dissonance of my friends and colleagues, almost all of whom are worshipful admirers of the Corporation.

As Oz points out, one is unlikely to convince these folks of the error of their ways, but the CBC's spin on events often frames discussion for many people, and it is useful to know which of their fallacies need to be addressed first.

Not sure what bashing Christians once again has to do with evidence of CBC lying to us once again.

Most of you have missed the irony in the print media of the past week. The MSM have howled at the new copyright ruling this week and yet the Red Star is caught out in publishing a picture without accreditation. Someone at the SUN should take this and run with it.

I don't think CBC has anyone that can take an "Original" picture.

Their ideas & coverage is sourced from the "Ancient's Vault". If it worked in the 60's why not now, they can broadcast the same Programming to each subsequent generation.. Just like the BBC

The only way to get the CBC off the public teat is to quit funding the CPC until they remove the CBC from the federal budget. I have done so and each and every time they (the CPC) calls me for money, my reply is 'sure just as soon as you quit giving tax money to the CBC!' If enough CPC members do that the funding will dry up and they will be force to act.

And I will again start to contribute.

I know, I know, you have to take motion to the next convention to be voted on and passed.
BS! Just do it or you can appeal to the CBC supporters. They seem to be funded adequately.

Ken - What would we expect from someone who calls himself NME666?
