The LIV's in Canada that support the Libs and Dippers are no different than the ones that supported Obama in America, they all have a difficult time every morning putting on their right shoes. The upcoming election will be a deciding factor in Canada's history, greater than any we have held in the past. Trudeau wants to send humanitarian aid into a region that is being over-run by the Barbarian horde and Mulcair wants to know the cost of military action. Some-one on Trudeau's staff should inform him that a great part of the present problems in the rest of the world is because Canadians have been sending humanitarian aid in the hundreds of millions of dollars into these troubled areas for years but it has fallen into the wrong hands in most cases. Mister Mulcair should acquaint himself with some Twentieth Century history, specifically Winston Spencer Churchill's "Blood, Sweat and Tears" speech. The reality of the situation is that you cannot put a price on a military operation because when you do the enemy has already won! There are far too many Canadians resting under foreign soil that paid the ultimate price for our freedom for any politician to try and put a price on maintaining that freedom.
It's easy to take a "principled" stand when you know the government has the votes in the House to carry their IS mission decision. What about showing leadership? No, that's only necessary when JT agrees with the proposed action, like Kyoto compliance, which is yet another example of booing from the stands when you have no control over the game anyway, so don't have to be accountable for the consequences of economy killing actions which do nothing for the environment.
As for the NDP - at least they're consistent pacifists and terrorist enablers.
