Hounding Rob Ford in his illness, demonstrates their compassionate humanity...

Cheers

Hans Rupprecht, Commander in Chief

1st Saint Nicolaas Army
Army Group “True North”

"... appropriate action has been taken, as per our strict code of conduct and privacy policies."

Meaning what exactly? What penalties were laid on the two scumbags? Let me guess: none.

"None". Perhaps. Certainly the penalties don't include publicizing their identity. The authorities will ensure that the people who decided it was o.k. to invade Mayor Ford's privacy have their privacy respected and protected.

Personal Health Privacy Information Act...PHIPA.

It's all here:

They should be fired and charged.

Really speaks to incompetence.

The target on Rob's back has been far bigger than anyone else's. You'd think they'd put in better safeguards for this guy...but no.

And then his classy response complimenting the hospital. I couldn't do that.

Can't wait for the Toronto Star and CBC expose on this breach of privacy. Oh wait.....I guess I'll be waiting forever.

you will hear about this leak when the TO Star and CBC release details about his cancer and other personal data.

"... appropriate action has been taken, as per our strict code of conduct and privacy policies."

A sternly-worded verbal warning about not getting caught next time...

Unfortunately, I don't think these cretins will face any serious repercussions but they should.

When one lives in a welfarist state and especially in the digital age, one's personal information is hardly a secret.

Perhaps these folks were on Ford's side.
Inconvenient truths will out, until deleted, and randomized triple overwriting is applied.

Remember Obama's State Department record breach. Poof! No longer a citizen of Indonesia. And, the man who orchestrated that little bit of magic is now the Director of the CIA.

Getting rid of an addiction history just might get you a new liver.

Give the Mt. Sinai people some credit. If the story is correct, they discovered the records breach and caught the people responsible. Then they told the world it had happened. The only thing you might want to call self-serving is that now everyone knows they have procedures in place (that appear to work), to monitor access to records.
