Justin Trudeau whips out his brain in the HOC:

ISIL is a threat both to the region and to global security. ISIL murders ethnic and religious minorities across Iraq and Syria. They murder innocent civilians, humanitarian workers, and journalists. These awful acts have been fully documented - often by the perpetrators themselves.
This is why the Liberal Party supported a 30-day, non-combat role...

I think he thinks he's serious.

Perhaps this trustifarian would like to explain how better to protect this humanitarian aid?

Will he have a ladies' night in the Middle East where women can be abused, raped, mutilated and/or murdered?

What a loathsome person he is.

After hearing this, I'd imagine Romeo Dallaire is back to cutting himself.

I don't know why anyone would worry what the airhead from Papineau has to say about anything, least of all something as important as sending troops into combat. The lesser of two Trudeaus is serving the only useful purpose he will ever serve - he's dividing the leftie vote. Once he loses the election next fall he will be cast on the rubbish heap of history.

We hope, but what with the Americans voting in Obama for the second time and the people of Ontario voting in the crooks once again, do not hold your breath, as after all, he has such pretty hair.

Osumashi, well said once again.

That is comedy gold.

Me....I wouldn't brief this airhead on anything....however vague....he would likely go straight to the nearest mosque...."to save lives"....

Back in the days, the yanks didn't trust his old man with anything...he not only didn't rate a security clearance he was considered a security hazard.

He ought to be encouraged to keep talking, at every occasion and for as long as he is allowed to - the more he keeps talking, the more ammo there is on the record, and sooner or later (later, as we in the USA now see) at least a few of the people pay attention.

There was a delicious comment in the Macleans link

Pierre Trudeau, “Just watch me”

Justin Trudeau, “Just let me watch”

There are times when people have to take a stand and do the right thing. When scumbags murder innocent people then you have to intervene and do the right thing including stopping these pieces of s...t from continuing to live on this planet. Suppose this was happening in Quebec, would he be saying this?

Keep it up Jr, you are well on the way to losing the valley gurl vote 'cause even they know stupid when they see it.

Watch the CBC poster boy avoid a question.

And while we're on the topic of the CBC poster boy--listen to his comment about our CF-18s that remain one of the world's top fighter planes, after upgrades of course.

A five year old kid with an interest in fighter aircraft would know that '' size doesn't matter.'' Fighter aircraft revel in ''smallness'' and their ability to avoid radar, carry a heavy weapon load, strike and get out fast! However ''big they are'' doesn't matter.

It shows that he has no clue as to what

Sorry, that last line should read, ''...as to what is going on in defense circles.

This isn't about right and wrong and all that. Who gives a crap what happens to a bunch of camel jockeys. This is about the security of North America. It's in our interest to take out ISIS. Everyone with half a brain knows this.

When they have take-your-kid-to-work day, isn't the parent usually alive?

Harper's CF-18 much bigger than Justine's.

The socialist meat heads can't admit that it was the Obama Administration that totally F**ked up in Iraq. The UN/EU Arab Spring totally spun the balance of power and with Zero leadership ready to fill the void the militant ISIL was the only benefactor.

Was the raising of ISIL status Obama's & Hillary's intended invention? or just another mistake?

We have to deal with the Evil aftermath now & bombing "will" result in destroying our enemies... the type of Bomb or missile can be adapted for total destruction if ISIL attacks the USA. Shit will get ugly real fast.

JT can lead his humanitarian mission to Iraq; but he won't last a "UN New York minute". JT would be on the next ISIS youtube video...

JT is a danger to himself; not to mention those he would employ on humanitarian gambits.

Cheers

These thugs didn't pop out of nowhere because this jihad has been running since Mohammed got the idea that he spoke for the almighty.
Its been a running battle ever since because unlike other wars this one is a battle of the mind. It bubbles to the surface every century or so and surges and receeds as the will to combat does like wise. The current rendition of this ongoing dance started in the Horn of Africa and gained strength when a POTUS panicked when a Blackhawk helicopter got shot down in Mogidisu (sp?). It was that moment that a sprouting group demonstrated that the US population, specifically the liberal variety, did not have the will to fight that previous generations did....or at least if they believed the cause was not theirs.
They have always had the same goal that any medieval conquest does, impose their will on a global scale, reality be dammed, and if they actually succeed, then fight among themselves over what scraps of civilization are left over. Between art courses and hits on the bong the member from Papineau could have benefited by cracking open a history book instead of pretending he could act.
But I digress. This is a point where the voters get to see the real justin and it will be an education.
Even the CBC is going to have to admit that he isn't the eloquent brilliant speaker they thought he could be. They wanted to see Pierre live through Justin.
Truth is, this attitude he's displayed, disdain for our troops and letting someone else do the fighting, is very much like his father.
Another truth is that his base is of the same mind.
God help us if this boy ever gets to be Prime minister.

The Conservatives don't need to get into a slagging match campaigning for the next election, Trudeau and company have given them plenty of ammunition and will continue to do so with that tool on the loose. The media cannot protect him from himself.

Any bets Trudeau's reply to Harper's speech in the HOC yesterday was written by his adviser, the as yet unelected but poised to run, supreme dick head Colonel Leslie?

Or Butts...and written before Harper's speech was presented.
Political partisanship at it's worst.

Actually, range is dependent on size, and Canada needs long-range fighters to properly patrol our borders.

Whaty is ISIS doing that is not happening in NK, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, etc?
This whole thing is a pretext to oust Assad, the only good guy in that hole theatre.

If anybody needed further proof that the neocon case for military intervention is actually the liberal socialist case just read the screed a couple of comments up by poster "Curt", demanding you to improve the lives of the poor little innocent Muslims with your taxpayer money.

Curt:
There are times when people have to take a stand and do the right thing. When scumbags murder innocent people then you have to intervene and do the right thing including stopping these pieces of s...t from continuing to live on this planet.

The problem is that there are NO INNOCENT PEOPLE. They are all Muslim and they are living by the tenets of their religion out of their own free will. And even if it wasn't, cry me a river, I couldn't care less, it is not my problem. I do NOT pay taxes so that foreign Muslims can benefit from them, but to pay for basic government services in Canada for me and my fellow Canadians.

So there you have it, if what you want is to kick some Muslim ass, this is NOT what the neocons propose. What the neocons want is to coddle Muslims with my money. Sure they bomb but only one of the warring factions, it doesn't matter which one because they will be replaced with something worse. They take great care so that the bombs only destroy the infrastructure and kill the least amount of people possible. It benefits them dearly because most of them have ties with defence contractors and they will make money with the reconstruction and all the other goodies they will bring to the Muslims afterwards which will also be paid for with my and your taxpayer money.

When the ISIS is replaced by something worse, which they inevitably will, they just start the process over again. Rinse and repeat. It's not like they have to spend their own money on this.

I watched the first round of debates in the house and I was actually amazed our parliament functioned in a reasoned, civil manner on this important issue - ALL arguments were specific and contained valid points, name calling was at a minimum and for the first time I think Harper is getting through to the self-absorbed effete rainbow pilgrims in opposition that IS/IL is a menace to humanity - next stage is to make them understand IL/IS is also here in sleeper cells and in metroplex madrasahs in a support and recruiting capacity - THIS is where the real war will wage which effects Canadians directly. While the bombs drop on IS/IL strongholds we should be weeding out their support base here.

We need a reasoned and effective domestic battle plan to rid our shores of IS/IL supporters and advocates.Fanatical calaihate Islamism is an anti-human plague as deadly as Ebola - deal with it as such.

james:

That's funny because that is the exact same thing Dubya and his retarded neocons said about Saddam Hussein. That it was about the security of the United States and so they had to take him out.

What we now have irrefutable proof of is that Saddam was in fact the only thing that guaranteed the stability of that sh*thole and safeguarded the security of the civilised world against the Islamists in Iraq. The neocons took him out just to make a quick buck. Thank you for keeping us safe Dubya!

The neocons might be able to take out ISIS with enourmous expense to the American taxpayer but they will never be able to take out the Islamists. They will just regroup and come in another form. Remember that what the neocons want is to bring them "democracy". And let me let you in on a little secret. When you give the Muslims "democracy" who do you think they are going to vote for?

For sure it was written well before PM Harper's speech for their Manikin to emote. His theatrical training is showing through every time he speaks, he's on stage putting on an act. If the majority of voters can't see through this pretender they're as dumb as he is, we all go down together and call it democracy.

Please excuse me while I fall out of my chair, laughing.

It's clear the best weapon against da Shiny Pony is his own words, followed by incessant mockery.

The Idiot Trudeau princeling is achieving what no one could have predicted: making Chretien almost look good, in retrospect.

Well since Jr has such a desire to send in the aid workers I suggest he first go over there to determine where best to apply the aid. Of course being the good Canadian boy scout we will send him over there without arms or protection except for his boy scout short pants. If he succeeds we win. If he 'loses'.....

Using his own words against Trudeau isn't going to be as dramatic as we'd like,as the Canadian media announced a few months back, that the CPC could not use their footage of anything embarrassing Trudeau did, citing copyright. If I remember correctly, all TV networks except Sun did the same.

So, we can show the printed version of his words, but not the actual video clip. That clip of the interview by Don Newman yesterday was priceless, showed JT for the high school kid he truly is. But we can't use that.

It would appear that JT whipped it out, then stepped on it.

Don, I would not worry about that too much.
We can just refer to UTube.

I'd prefer to see the glass as half-full, not as "that b@$#@rd Trudeau stole my water!".

We'll see what happens in 2015, is my point.

What am absolute moron. He's worse than President Ebola.
