Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

OMG! Breaking news. This is *huge* - probably the biggest news story of the decade:
And here I thought he'd be using Trudeau's or Mulcair's staff.
Thank god for reporters.

Remember Ms. Payette who was refused a job with a Norwegian touring company because of her Christian background in a Vancouver college??
It appears that our Viking friends have been pulling the wool over a lot of people's eyes!

I truly enjoyed the video on beer bottle blowers.
My dream had always been to create a homemade calliope using discarded 12 volt automotive horns, until my Dad went to the city one day, and came home with a musical horn he bought at an automotive supply store. He drove us nuts pulling up behind us with his Grand Marquis and blowing ''Dixie'' or ''La Cacarucha'' in the driveway. It played 24 tunes altogether.
This as a clone of my Dad and his f&$%ng horn.

In case anyone is interested, I noticed, to my surprise, that yesterday's turkey thread was still active. John Galt has added 4 more posts in the last 3 or 4 hrs, one of which was a personal attack in general to anyone who doesn't agree with him and one specific attack against OZ and myself. I have responded. Just FYI.
If this post is inappropriate I apologize.

Opps--sorry folks--the girl who was refused a job as a tour guide by a Norwegian outfitter was Ms. Paquette--not Payette.
Well RGB, seems you managed to piss her/him/it off somehow....
oh...can I carry on the turkey thread here???? 79 cents a pound for a turkey here.
Pissed off? Hardly... It's a source of constant amusement. Who gets pissed off with someone on a public internet forum? It confirms they're reading the messages. If they weren't reading then they wouldn't comment.
To allay your confusion I'm a male, older than 65. How is that important to you?
You did just fine by your lonesome, RGB. It's a dead thread now IMO.
He seems to get emotional when the subject of groceries comes up.
The federal government wants Canadians who live in three countries in West Africa where the Ebola virus is raging to consider leaving now.
Health Minister Rona Ambrose said Friday the updated travel advisory is aimed at 216 Canadians who live in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
"Today we are asking Canadians living in Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia to consider leaving by commercial means while they are still available,"

Mounties exchanged gunfire with B.C. suspect who escaped into forest
SLOCAN CITY, B.C. - The confrontation that led to the lockdown of an entire community in British Columbia's southeast included an exchange of gunfire between police and a male suspect, says a senior Mountie.
Peter DeGroot, 45, is armed and dangerous and known to police, RCMP Chief Supt. Frank Smart said Friday, after an overnight search for the man who escaped into a forest west of Slocan, B.C.
A crisis negotiator, emergency response team, police dogs, a helicopter and a tactical-armoured vehicle are being used to try and find DeGroot, and police have seized a number of firearms from the man's home, said Smart.
Residents are also being told to stay in their homes.

...so you think you've got problems.
A family was driven from their suburban St. Louis home by thousands of venomous spiders that fell from the ceiling and oozed from the walls. They bought the $450,000 home overlooking two golf holes at Whitmoor Country Club in Weldon Spring in October 2007 and soon afterward started seeing brown recluse spiders everywhere...

'Double whammy' could spike energy costs
Hang on to your wallet and put on an extra sweater.
Energy industry players say they've learned from last year's so-called polar vortex and are bracing for what the Farmer's Almanac says will be another bitterly cold season — one that's already being dubbed the "T-Rex" of winters.

[ This fall, David Suzuki and other notable Canadians are crossing the country to help guarantee our right to a healthy environment. The Blue Dot Tour will be in Prince George on Saturday, November 1, with specials guests Jill and Matt Barber and Roy Henry Vickers, and in Victoria on Friday, November 7, with headliners Hey Ocean, Kinnie Starr, and Shane Koyczan.
I hope that you, as valued members of the David Suzuki Foundation community, will be interested in volunteering. Multiple roles are available, and full training and support will be provided. This is a unique experience and an opportunity to see David Suzuki and other notable Canadians in your hometown.
For more information on the available volunteer opportunities, and to apply, please visit http://davidsuzuki.org/about/volunteer/british-columbia/.
Volunteer with us. Be part of the Blue Dot movement.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Rodriguez

Blue Dot - is that some strain of LSD?
With all his ill-gotten loot he has the gall to ask for volunteers. Multiple roles such as ass-kissing, fellatio, etc. Training and support?? For what? Seating people, passing the hat, spreading the BS, holding up applause signs, pick-pocketing?
I have not heard of any of those people other than the Sooze, and as followers of Him they are nothing but a blight on this planet.
If we have a right to a healthy environment may I suggest we line these leeches up in front of a firing squad?
Rather harsh, but a few years back someone in TO was propounding that Harper must die.
And to think, we used to call it an Arctic cold front.
Yes, I received the same email, and I sure as hell never signed up to, or in to, any David Suzuki site, or any environmental site whatsoever.
Flag it as spam - that's what I did. If enough people will do that, it might cause the eco-loons behind the emails a bit of email grief.
