"It's basically admitting defeat," said Dr. Peter H. Kilmarx, the leader of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's team in Sierra Leone, adding that it was "now national policy that we should take care of these people at home."
"For the clinicians it's admitting failure, but we are responding to the need," Dr. Kilmarx said. "There are hundreds of people with Ebola that we are not able to bring into a facility."

About Kate
Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

The planet is shaking off the fleas, as George Carlin said in one of his shows a few years ago.
This is a far cry from the bravado a few months ago by all the health officials, "we can contain it".
Now for f***'s sake quarantine anyone from the affected Countries.
I know it's too much to ask, but could we maybe stop all flights from Africa, too, or would that be some type of "-ist"?
The failure to stop Ebola goes back to the first week of the outbreak. By the end of week two, any chance was lost. The almost cavalier attitude about missionary doctors and aid workers treating, and how they quarantined them if they believed they were getting sick and came home was, would have been, comical, if it wasn't so serious. I worked in this field for a number of years with hands-on with things like Rabies, and Ebola scares the bejesus out of me. Hemorrhagic fevers are truly nasty, and this is one of the worst. The bizarrely stupid attitude towards its transmission is beyond comprehension, but entirely a signature of WHO and CDC.
This virus is a zoonosis - a virus of animals in the wild, transmissible to man. We know very, very little of its reservoir hosting. If it reservoirs in fruit bats, it likely reservoirs in other mammals. If it gets into suitable hosts in North America, we have a big problem. If that happens, it will make West Nile look like the sniffles. Transmission observations from this outbreak tell us the popular science of understanding of this virus is woefully inadequate. I'd rather work with Rabies than Ebola - Rabies pathogenesis is much easier to deal with than this bugger. The Western health care system is completely incapable of dealing with this. If they don't keep it out, at whatever cost, ISIS will be the least of our troubles...
The protective equipment worn by health care workers was a joke from the beginning, then it was reported that they were unable to get basic supplies like gloves, then Obama imported Ebola by inviting African heads of state to DC, then CFR members were reporting from Africa(?) on ebola, and now CDC is taking people's temperatures to make sure no one exposed to a fatal disease with an incubation period of up to 3 weeks already has symptoms when they enter the US.
The only information that makes any sense is this 2010 Rockefeller Foundation brochure on a pandemic providing an opportunity for serious fascist totalitarian control. Since the Rockefellers also control the US pharmaceutical industry, there may be some serious $$ in a major global pandemic, in addition to an opportunity to achieve their depopulation agenda. I've read that Bill Gates is co-owner of the Ebola patent, but I only recall DOD on the USPO website.

Is there nothing this Marxist-Muslim administration can't make worse?

The failure to stop Ebola goes back to the first week of the outbreak.
Exactly. There were discussions on this and other forums at that time, and the agreement was to impose quarantine IF they wanted to stop it.
West Africa is an overpopulated region and a few thousand dying from Ebola will merely add to the hundreds of thousands that die from malaria and other diseases.
If it gets lose from W.Africa it will likely only infect large cities. Those who live in large cities are almost all leftist progs. So what's the problem? Let it cull the sheeple.
That sound stupid again. To me! People in small town and village who such an example have one kid talk bs about people who has 5 kids such ok if one of yourchild outt of 5 dieing is not important because you have 4 other one left or if some people from big cities dying. From war bomb or illness or earthquick or flood it is ok because their population in chineese far east or black african or muslim middl east are too much is not noticiablee that kind of comment are toostupid and unhuman. That reason canada out of UN main seats are. Feel sorry for unfair death to. Anybody or colour or where they live they are human
Well Mr Galt maybe you need a son or a daughter working in one of those urban hospitals. I have a daughter in one, who worked her a-- off to get there,I selfishly think the borders should be closed and I'll be calling my MP again this week.
Watching the news on CNN and the second case of ebola is certainly seems to me no one has a f------ clue.
