How genetic modification brought us the tomato.

The Kimmel video ran the other day(urban light) would have been better if people were asked what isn't "GMO" at their market.

Exactly.

We now have the traditional tomato that I grew up with, square tomatoes, green tomatoes, various smaller sized special use tomatoes.

None of the grains are the same today as when I started farming thirty-eight years ago. All the fruit crops, including apples, peaches, etc have been modified in some manner since I was kid. Fresh eating peaches are different than canning peaches. And so on.

This whole GMO scare is just an excuse for some snake oil people to avoid decent jobs and make money off of the gullible.

Black Pearl are my new favorite this year in the garden.

Lemon Boy gets bigger fruit every year and I swear tastes better.
I plant a new variety every year and have not been disappointed yet.

Go Frankenfood!!!

There's a difference between manipulating existing genetic information within a plant and adding new genetic information to the plant.

This is what is at the heart of the evilutionist argument. Except they can't show added genetic information has ever happened in the natural world.

They can show loss of genetic information, which is what plant breeders do...remove undesirable characteristics through selective breeding. But, there is always a limit.

If that were not true there would have been another horse to break the 120 second barrier of the Kentucky Derby in the more than 40 years since 1973.
