About Kate
Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

The CIA did a great favor for Latin America by ending the career of Che Guevara. Unfortunately the President of Bolivia ordered him shot before he could be interrogated, as had been originally planned.
Feel free to offer your comments on that murderous scumbag here:
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/multimedia/che-guevara-is-executed-in-bolivia/article20992326/
Somehow the Globe wants to give him a photo spread that makes him look like a male model.
Some of the commenters understand, but more education is needed.
Something that galls me is kids wearing "Che" t-shirts also people old enough to know better.
Enersto Lynch, his real name, was a weirdo, a pervert who got sexual gratifacation from executing people.
Wearing a "Che" t-shirt means you are an uneducated idiot.
dig him up and shoot him again.
I feel genuinely saddened at the loss of those five brave Bolivian soldiers whose sacrifice did a great service to humanity.
So when Castro dies will justin attend the funeral?
Yes,he'll be one of the pallbearers.
What you said.
I remember my sister confronting some hipster wearing a Che t-shirt and he was as clueless as anything.
If you haven't read this essay, it's worth a read.
http://www.worldaffairsjournal.org/blog/michael-j-totten/truth-about-che-guevara
In it, among other citations, Totten mentions one of my favourite books, Exposing the Real Che Guevara by Humberto Fontova.
It's amazing how the left perverts the truth. My 81-year-old father, otherwise rather conservative, wears a Che t-shirt. Or rather, wore one (maybe he does, but never around me), as I told him just a few snippets of who Che was. My liberal brother thinks Che was great, and my facts don't get in the way of his feelings about him.
What Bubba said.
This piece of filth enjoyed killing people.
I would be grateful if someone could give me a link to the movie about him being hunted in Bolivia.
Made in 1968 I believe and titled El 'Che' Guevara. I can only find poor snippits on youtube
You can still buy it on Amazon.

Might be why he initially chose to be a doctor. Many of the 3rd Reich's most prolific killers were doctors. Most people only see doctors as healers, but quite a number of history's famous serial killers were doctors. It's the kind of profession where a man can inflict pain and even death and never ever be suspected of foul play.
http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2000/07/30/doctors-death-part-one.aspx
Yeah I recall that day....
He was held in that schoolhouse, wounds untreated, he looked like a trapped animal (which he was), nothing brave, nothing glorious.....nor was his death remarkable.
Those T-shirts don't offend me...they're sorta like scalps....
“The situation was uncomfortable for the people and for [Eutimio], so I ended the problem, giving him a shot with a .32 pistol in the right side of the brain, with exit orifice in the right temporal lobe. He gasped for a little while and was dead. Upon proceeding to remove his belongings I couldn’t get off the watch tied by a chain to his belt, and then he told me in a steady voice further away than fear: “Yank it off, boy, what does it matter?” I did so and his possessions were now mine.” -- Che Guevara, in his diary (Jan. 1957), on the execution of Eutimio Guerra as an anti-revolutionary spy, displaying not only his true colours as a murderous thug, but also the kleptocratic tendencies of socialists everywhere.
They should put that quote on a T-shirt.
bubba - good comment. I've always enjoyed walking up to those with Che T-shirts and saying "brave of you to support capital punishment like that, it's not a stand many will make anymore." This usually gets me a blank stare or a "huh?", at which point I say that Che was in favour of killing 4 or 5 innocent people just to make sure that he got one who was guilty.
Osumashe was right about how clueless they usually are. I usually walk away at that point, there's no point in asking if they know of what Che's victims were "guilty".
Che and Mengele would have been perfect team mates. Both were monsters.
I think most of you missed the point of this post.
I am not sure who said it but "revolutions eat their children"
I do "get" that Ernesto Lynch with his sexy name change was a murderer.
The same dolts that swan about wearing his image would be hanging from a lamp post or bleeding out after an encounter with him.
Especially people that were not white.

The truth shall set y'all free
BC - Che is beloved by the left, though they usually don't know the details. Google increasingly being an agent of the left, will do its best to avoid any negative mention of him. That's all a given that underscores the current discussion. Do try to keep up. :-)
