  1. OMG! Breaking news. This is *huge* – probably the biggest news story of the decade:

OTTAWA — Canada’s employment minister Jason Kenney is using his staff to make anti-Justin Trudeau graphics for him to tweet, his office confirmed Thursday.

And here I thought he’d be using Trudeau’s or Mulcair’s staff.
    Thank god for reporters.

  2. I truly enjoyed the video on beer bottle blowers.
My dream had always been to create a homemade calliope using discarded 12 volt automotive horns, until my Dad went to the city one day, and came home with a musical horn he bought at an automotive supply store. He drove us nuts pulling up behind us with his Grand Marquis and blowing ”Dixie” or ”La Cacarucha” in the driveway. It played 24 tunes altogether.
This as a clone of my Dad and his f&$%ng horn.

  3. In case anyone is interested, I noticed, to my surprise, that yesterday’s turkey thread was still active. John Galt has added 4 more posts in the last 3 or 4 hrs, one of which was a personal attack in general to anyone who doesn’t agree with him and one specific attack against OZ and myself. I have responded. Just FYI.
If this post is inappropriate I apologize.

  5. Opps–sorry folks–the girl who was refused a job as a tour guide by a Norwegian outfitter was Ms. Paquette–not Payette.

  6. Well RGB, seems you managed to piss her/him/it off somehow….
oh…can I carry on the turkey thread here???? 79 cents a pound for a turkey here.

  7. Pissed off? Hardly… It’s a source of constant amusement. Who gets pissed off with someone on a public internet forum? It confirms they’re reading the messages. If they weren’t reading then they wouldn’t comment.
To allay your confusion I’m a male, older than 65. How is that important to you?

  8. The federal government wants Canadians who live in three countries in West Africa where the Ebola virus is raging to consider leaving now.
Health Minister Rona Ambrose said Friday the updated travel advisory is aimed at 216 Canadians who live in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
“Today we are asking Canadians living in Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia to consider leaving by commercial means while they are still available,”

  9. Mounties exchanged gunfire with B.C. suspect who escaped into forest
SLOCAN CITY, B.C. – The confrontation that led to the lockdown of an entire community in British Columbia’s southeast included an exchange of gunfire between police and a male suspect, says a senior Mountie.
Peter DeGroot, 45, is armed and dangerous and known to police, RCMP Chief Supt. Frank Smart said Friday, after an overnight search for the man who escaped into a forest west of Slocan, B.C.
A crisis negotiator, emergency response team, police dogs, a helicopter and a tactical-armoured vehicle are being used to try and find DeGroot, and police have seized a number of firearms from the man’s home, said Smart.
Residents are also being told to stay in their homes.

  12. Blue Dot – is that some strain of LSD?
With all his ill-gotten loot he has the gall to ask for volunteers. Multiple roles such as ass-kissing, fellatio, etc. Training and support?? For what? Seating people, passing the hat, spreading the BS, holding up applause signs, pick-pocketing?
I have not heard of any of those people other than the Sooze, and as followers of Him they are nothing but a blight on this planet.
If we have a right to a healthy environment may I suggest we line these leeches up in front of a firing squad?
Rather harsh, but a few years back someone in TO was propounding that Harper must die.

  13. Yes, I received the same email, and I sure as hell never signed up to, or in to, any David Suzuki site, or any environmental site whatsoever.
Flag it as spam – that’s what I did. If enough people will do that, it might cause the eco-loons behind the emails a bit of email grief.
