These people have just brought in 15 dogs from the US. They also have brought them in from Mexico. This is something I totally disagree with and Have let them no at their site. But they have banned me and removed my comments. Why are we bringing in dogs from other countries when our own humane societies have more than enough of our own. Not to mention the stray reservations dogs.

I loved the Stooges and made my parents take me to see them at the Calgary Stampede in 1963. They spent several minutes at the start of the show explaining to us kids why we shouldn't try this stuff at home. You mean I can't put my friend's nose on the grinder? Darn. Explaining your act to the audience is the show biz kiss of death. They were fading fast or maybe they were tired of the act and just wanted to quit.

Of course the demonstrations stopped, that was the purpose of the demonstrations, the point was made, they won. The demonstrations were more about the draft than the war. It was denial of freedom of choice that they rebelled against. Once the wars were being fought by enlistees, people believed they had free choice to participate in a war or not. No president has ever been foolish enough to institute a draft again.

I was born before the atomic age, so I'm familiar with the times. I enlisted and went where my skill set was needed.

This is normal protocol for visiting foreign leaders and especially valid to celebrate the trade agreement. The first few tankers of Canadian crude will pay for the cost of the event and travel. Basic business 101: you have to spend money to make money, it's called an investment.
