About Kate
Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

So, nobody authorized the seizure of the legally stored firearms. My, my, now the firearms are walking into the detachment offices on their own. Sure, and pigs fly.
They just dropped another notch in the minds of people who should be their natural allies.
It's good that SUN won't let go of this. It's been almost completely suppressed on the MSM, and SUN are the only ones holding the government accountable. The sheeple will of course continue to ignore it as a non-issue 'gun thing'.
If nobody authorized the seizure the police won't charge their members then perhaps a high profile class action civil suit just before the next election would be appropriate.
If no one authorized it, did the individual officers all commit criminal actions by stealing the guns out of houses?
It was authorized it at some level. It might have been at the individual level or at somewhere higher. But some one or some people decided it was a good idea. So someone or everyone is lying.
It is either that, or all your police are out of control thugs.
Nobody authorized or initiated the gun grab? If the gun grab wasn't initiated, then that means it hasn't started yet, which is a flat out lie. I'm finding it difficult not to type words that would make a sailor blush right now.
That quote will be permanently attached to the RCMP.
No one in government, either elected or appointed has intervened to clean house. (The good mounties have much work to do and need credibility restored.)
The impression of the RCMP as a clear and present danger to the Rights of law abiding, peaceful Canadians, and both the Charter and the Common-Law, will remain.
Yes, presently, it appears the only protection for the folks of High River, and by implication Canadians across the country, against further such raids, would be a vigorous class-action suit.
Now fearful of retaliation, High River residents need a powerful, high profile, intrepid law firm, experienced in class action suits.
I hear there might be one headquartered in Regina.
During the two week, post flood raiding period, the RCMP destroyed thousands of pounds of ammunition that they seized. They've now asked for tenders for more trucks designed to destroy ammunition. Their plan is clear.
If the Charter, the Bill of Rights and the Common-Law survive, much credit will have to go to SunNews. Every other media have gone... Bolshevik.
http://waltherpragerandphilosophy1.blogspot.ro/2013/02/self-defense.html
If the perpetrators are not tried and jailed for this, the RCMP is a Criminal Thug Organization with no legitimate authority.
One law for all or no law at all.
Read the RCMP response more carefully, people. They are not denying that they seized guns, only that any of the guns seized were legally stored. It's a legalistic answer reflecting their position that if a firearm was seized, it was because it was illegally stored. We all know that most of the guns seized were stored properly per the regs, but that RCMP knows most Canadians haven't a clue about that. This is why the regs and the Firearms Act need to be overhauled; they permit this kind of abusive interpretation and actions.
so larry, are they illegally destroying ammunition that they illegally stole from legal gun owners? I had not heard about that. what they are doing should require the immediate firing of all those in the high river detachment as well as their superiors who allow this to continue.
How about the unlawful breaking and entering into the house to start with.
Yeah well we know this was condoned right off the hop by that officious Staff Sergeant, at the road block, saying the firearms were seized because of "what they are".
That clown is pinned right there.
Fired, dishonorable discharge...NO GOLD PLATED PENSION.....when he is released from maximum security......
No single profession lies more profusely as a part of their standard operational procedure than police.
Their PR is lies, they lie on the stand and to your face as they enforce political POLICY not law. The RCMP have been leading the police function into its current slide into wide public disrepute as police abandon their posture as accountable "peace officers" and emulate a mercenary occupying military force which breaches the public peace in the pursuit of enforcing their employer's diktat under rules of engagement appropriate for repressing a subjugated population.
So we have the greatest conflict of interest conceivable when we ask the oppressor to investigate their oppressive tactics - only a self-loathing cowering slave would delude themselves into believing this will result in justice.
When the police function becomes rogue you don't blame the boots on the ground, you look at the power structure that gives them their policy and whitewashes their crimes - and you replace it with one which does not oppress you. The High River civil abomination was a symptom of a broken political/justice system.
You got it. One of those little weasel phrases designed to put the author in a position of offence when they are taken to task.
Justin invents self balancing budgets.
The RCMP invents self stealing firearms.
north of Occam
cops ain't cops because of hi IQs, mose would define stupid quite well. I'v interacted with cops for over 45 years and not much has actually changed. They were ego driven assholes then and they are still today.
Gee, they couldn't find out who gave that order eh? Wow, so surprising.
See Caledonia for details on how that management theory working out in Ontario. OPP rank and file's most hated posting. Because people won't help them. With anything.
They just redefine what "legally stored" means. For them, anywhere in your home is illegal.
That was just a little bitty flood in a peaceful little hick town too.
Wonder what would happen in some real trouble?
No one is covertly arming themselves against these face stomping boots across Canada and the US either.
What its saying is no one in "High River" authorized or initiated the gun grab. The parentheses are the key in that sentence.
Did someone in Edmonton authorize the gun grab? Most certainly.
I'm glad I've never sat on a jury. I'd free Jack the Ripper if his conviction relied on RCMP testimony. Do these guys ever tell the truth, seriously?
These guys are exactly what they are trained to be. They are the front line merc's of the legal industry which is the enforcement arm of the largest terrorist organization in Canada, the government of Canada.
The parentheses are brackets. That means Sun is paraphrasing or adding the words "in High River" to provide context, not that those words were there in the original statement.
Nope, there's no way for the RCMP to weasel out of this.
I sat on a jury and they'll do anything to convict.
NME666 comment is painfully true. The few exceptions make no impact.
Will people please refer to the Canadian Gestapo by the more appropriate acronym of HRGT. That's how I refer to members of this criminal organization when I have to refer to them and it's also my best way of reminding people who are mystified by the term of what these criminals did in High River.
Recently I reviewed the definition of a criminal organization as defined in the criminal code of Canada and the HRGT would certainly qualify. What's needed is a lawyer who's ready to take on the government over this. I'm ready to donate generously once a legal case has been started.
The fact that the CINO party of Canada has done absolutely nothing to deal with this mass violation of peoples civil rights is telling and, at the very least, write to your local CINO MP to let them know that you're not willing to support another statist party. At the very least, the HRGT should be completely abolished and another police organization established; this time based on Peels principles of policing rather than organized in the same manner as the Gestapo and other organizations of statist thugs.
Was a time when the "Men in Blue" were peace officers. No longer.
They are now predatory policy enforcers for their political masters.
Uniforms are an intimidating black - an idea originating with the Nazi SS and deliberately designed to intimidate victims with an image of power and authority.
Here in Calgary even by-law officers and EMS/fire department officials are now sporting black. The new Praetorian guard?
I am so happy that the press and others with some influence are not letting go of this issue. In this day of short attention spans I believe the RCMP are just waiting for this issue to slip away into the darkness never to be brought up again. Clearly the longer it goes on the more we learn and the more we find out about the ones who are supposedly there to "Protect and Serve" or "Defend the Law".
Like many others I suspect the constant delays in releasing the report are desperate ploys to bye time towards finding a plausible explanation for their reprehensible actions.
I was going to say that I'd bet the farm the order came directly from the Alberta Attorney-General on orders from Premier Allison Redford, but that's only speculation.I have no proof and will never get any.
I agree with the above comments, the Police are there to strike fear of the government into our little people's hearts.
Peel's principles of good policing have been long forgotten, quite deliberately.
Let me guess: several officers testified contradicting each other’s testimonies with the “We are the law, you dumb peasant, how dare you questioning us” attitude.
Yep, standard operating procedure for those JBTs.
I am biting my tongue again and again because the words that come to mind are not fit for public consumption.
someone somewhere on the wide intranets said it was a female cop that gave the order, and also that it was a higher up one. spit.
Join the biggest street gang in the country.
RCMP sinks another couple of notches, one wonders how low they will go.
If no orders were made, arrest and charge each member party to kicking in doors and rummaging through homes searching for previously registered weapons.
Note they did not search too many unregistered/unlicensed homes.
The police are damned if they do and damned if they don't.
So they keep digging.
After all when seconds count, they are only minutes away and happy to advise you to file a report next business day/ call your insurance company.
They make it very clear which clients they value and the taxpaying citizen is not on that list.
The pictures of cops breaking into locked houses and tromping upstairs with their muddy boots across clean carpets to look into closets for any guns, says it all.
They have no respect for us, or our property, so why should we have any respect for them? Respect has to be earned, and that account is way overdrawn.
RCMP Insp. No One?
Believe he was posted to one of the more obscure
former Soviet States as an organized crime and
immigration background checks liaison officer until
the heat is off.
If these actions were not officially endorsed, then please explain why the officers who entered private homes without a warrant or probable cause, and removed personal property should not be charged with that many accounts of break and enter, and theft?
If these actions were actually at the direction of the brass, are there appropriate charges to be laid (besides the obvious consequence of dishonourable discharge, and having pension stripped)?
They're not listening, and ignoring your questions.
A high profile civil suit is the only way this will ever be resolved.
Why did they let Alison Redfraud escape and flee the country?
Where is Canada's version of Mossad Nazi hunters to go find her?
Why haven't her bank accounts and other assets been seized or frozen?
Too many questions unanswered, the Alberta PC Party needs to go!
