Confrontation with strangers? Maybe not a good idea.
It may just be a mistaken perception, and an incorrect one at that since it’s from the internet, but I think teenage girls have become much more physically violet than when I was a teen myself. The way I remember it from long ago was they fought with their mouth, i.e., nasty remarks, and with their social interactions, i.e., ostracize, socially ignore, etc.
Times change……
The good people set the standards of behaviour, when they fail to do this misbehaviour becomes dominant.
What the victim did was correct. What is required is for the other good people to step up and do the same. Take back the subway, the street and the government.
