Saturday was the 40th anniversary of President Nixon’s resignation from office after the Watergate scandal. While many panelists on NBC’s “This Week” explained the moment as a time when America learned to be skeptical of its leaders, the former CBS reporter took a different tack.
“I think that we’ve gone backwards since that time when we really felt empowered as journalists,” Attkisson said. “And all I can think is: What would happen today during a Nixon-type scandal?”

Is it the target rich environment that’s blinding them?
On second thought, she’ so close, yet so far.
The part she’s missing is that Woodward and Bernstein, working for the WaPo would not investigate and continue to write tendacious stories about how great Hillary is. Bloggers would be reporting the facts , as much as can be pieced together, and be ridiculed for months before a single article on page 23 was published on the topic that gracefully elided any real evidence, and had no follow up.

‘The Media’ hated Nixon his whole political life. They hounded the man.
‘The Media’ created Barack Hussein Obama. All that we know of him is a carefully crafted media offing and we know virtually nothing about him prior to his political career, all of it being seal from public view, and ‘the Media’ has no interest in finding out and making it or anything else not carefully crafted known to the world.
Andrew Breitbart said it best, ‘the Media’ is a party and Barack Obama is one of it’s party members.

Wonder what would have happened had the President been a Democrat and a Kennedy back in the day.
Aren’t Benghazi, the IRS scandal and the Obamacare lies as big as Watergate?
We know exactly what today’s servile media would do: as little as possible.
And that is why the legacy media is doomed. Fifteen years ago, nobody blogged and they could get away with this crap. Not anymore.
