Another excellent program ‘the Diversification Programs’. These gems were economic development programs to help area diversify their economies from resource extraction. In the West we got the ‘Western Canada Diversification Program’. It still exists today. It was/is nothing more than a slush fund for government to bribe industry and thusly citizens. The Liebels were expert at creating such things to pay off their people. CPC seems to be doing the same.
Again I go back to the idea of the number of people who make their way in life by availing themselves of the earnings of others. Whether politicos, government workers, contractors or subsidized industry it makes no difference. The size of this group within society increases each year and every major political party in the country supports them. Their impact on our society is never debated and is never a serious election issue.
It’s extreme manifestation will continue as long as deficit spending continues. It thrives on being unaccountable and on progressive visions. Even within a balanced budget it will continue but then argue over the merits of each departments vision. This system will always argue for increased taxes, a bigger piece of the pie.
We are living under a tyranny of the minority. The progressives use minority groups to divide and conquer.

Political multiculturalism is a failure with which leftists like Trudeau and his handlers must be acquainted. This divide-and-conquer strategy might work for elections in Toronto but they tear a part the national fabric. It should eventually blow up in Trudeau’s face. How do the Hindus and Sikhs feel about Trudeau’s overtures to the Muslims? Are there any self-respecting Jews or gays who are bothered by the Islamists Trudeau courts? Are there any Koreans bothered by Trudeau’s admiration for China’s dictatorship?
Of course, this wouldn’t be a problem if people just saw themselves as Canadians to begin with.

I always wondered why it was OK to poach the ‘best and brightest’ from 3rd world countries. Doesn’t this just dilute their pool even more and keep those countries down at the bottom indefinitely?
I also always thought our immigration policies should be a little more choosey; asking questions such as are they truly refugees or do the have a similar moral background, do they want to assimilate? For Pete sake, my family tried to assimilate as quick as possible. The only thing we kept was the food and we didn’t do such a good job of that seeing I just finished a plate of enchiladas and we aint Mexican or Columbian or anything in between. And what’s with the dual citizenships?
