The Dutch High Court ruled on Tuesday that the chant ‘Hamas, Hamas, Jews to the gas’ is punishable by law because it is insulting to Jews, reports broadcaster Nos.
The case was brought before the High Court by a football supporter who had been sentenced to 80 hours community service and probation of two years by the lower court.
The man refused to accept the judgement saying the chant forms part of the culture surrounding football. ‘It is not used with the intention of insulting Jews but to provoke other supporters,’ he said in his defence.
The High Court disagreed and the original sentence was upheld.
Small wonder that Rabbis are attacked within such an environment.

The real truth is that the majority of Palestinians do not support Hamas and are now just caught in the middle of another conflict. Israel has a right to defend themselves but they are not doing anywhere near enough to avoid civilian casualties.

The IDF doesn’t do that. They pinpoint the location down to a few feet, and they nail the shooters with one round of artillery. Because that’s the only way it can be done. There is no magic way to stop armed men launching rockets from a fortified location. You have to blow them up. With a tank round, usually. Sometimes a guided missile or a JDAMS smart bomb will work too, but those things cost as much as a Porche 911. Artillery is what gets used.
Trouble is, the shooters are standing right in front of a bunch of women and kids, hoping the IDF kills a few when they inevitably return fire on the Palie mortar. Artillery is destructive, people die. Sure the IDF killed them. Would they have been there except for the Hamas scum? Did they volunteer to add their corpse to the propaganda effort? Doubt it.
Then you, Kevin, helpfully wave the bloody shirt for them. You spread false news and propaganda for guys who use their own women and children AS COVER IN A FIRE FIGHT.
But even with all this, Kevin, there’s so few casualties that the Palestinian Ministry of Truth has to use pictures taken from Hollywood movie posters to make it look like a massacre.

Thanks Phantom. I, like many others who post here, are or have been in the military. What some, apparently including Kevin, are arguing is that if your enemy kills on one your own, you can only kill one of them, or something like that.
Pure garbage. Proportional response never has been, nor will ever be, a military principle. No, military threats are to be met with a promise that the costs of fighting far outweigh any benefit accruing, aka “deterrence,” which actually stops the fight before it begins. Proportional response doctrine would cause deterrence to fail, resulting in more, not less warfare. One could argue if the West used proportionality as a principle, the USSR could not have been deterred, and could have very well have ended up with more (yes, actually) conflict, war and death and possibly WW3.
Thank God we’ll never know because intelligent people don’t see the real world in the BS terms Kevin does.
As an aside, it is good, IMHO that various ceasefires have failed, thus giving the IDF the time needed to properly destroy Hamas, in whom the blame for all the deaths of Palestinians and Israelis lies.

This “political” emphasis to limit collateral casualties and damage results in sustaining IMHO un-needed IDF casualties.
It is a given that regardless of tactics that house to house, room to room operations will ALWAYS result severe losses….a given. Not just reducing the structure with artillery tube/missile, free fall aerial bomb or missile/rocket is foolish in the extreme…and IMHO criminal. Human shields/hostages are doomed regardless.
This why direct tank fire is used so much….it is accurate and limits damage mostly to the enemy occupied structure and it’s occupyers.
There are instances such as the Japanese bunkers in the Pacific where costly infantry assault was deemed necessary but IWO JIMA and OKINAWA yielded an identifiable proportion of Allied casualties.

I’ve also spent ALLOT of time in the ME/ NA, and could care less about the Muslims or Jews. Not in a racial way but simply indifference to foreign cultures and their issues that have no meaning to us unless we stick our noses in their business. Which we do.
