On a marginally related note, the CBC this morning promised us a story on the kidnappings and torture of women by Puerto Rican Ariel Castro, which took place, they reported, in “Cleveland, Indiana.” A small point, perhaps, but had, say, Fox News referred to a major, internationally known story in Windsor, Ontario as having taken place in Windsor, Quebec, the gaffe would have been carried on The National, been the subject of several radio pieces, and make into a skit by Rick Mercer or “This Hour Has 22 Minutes.”
