Marine Corps Gen. John Kelly is commander of the U.S. Southern Command, or SOUTHCOM, charged with responsibility for the Caribbean Sea and all lands south of Mexico.
Particularly in regards to the drug trade, murder rates and terrorist activity brewing in Central America, Kelly says, the waves of Latin Americans sweeping through Mexico and illegally into Texas presents a threat to the U.S. every bit as serious as Iran or North Korea.

Every branch of the US federal government that I can think of works in direct opposition to its intended purpose. The judiciary doesn’t dispense justice; the EPA has no real concern about protecting the environment; the legislative and executive branches are hell-bent on removing individual liberty and prosperity; the armed forces aren’t allowed to fight the enemy; and homeland security is nothing but a grotesque pretence. But the real breakdown – as it is here in Ontario – is the docility and cowardice of the public and the opposition.

Why not deploy the TX National Guard, and do the job that the Federals are supposed to do. Take it to the SC, if necessary. In principle, states may act in loco Federales. It is the Constitution that is supreme, not the human who happens to serve as President. Obama is refusing to defend the nation, which requirement happens to be part of the Constitution he SWORE to uphold.
