Operation Empty Chair

The world is in the very best of hands;

Last weekend Barack Obama played his 175th and 176th rounds of golf as president. He played first at Sunnylands, the famously private course on the Rancho Mirage, California estate of the late billionaire Walter Annenberg. Obama next played at Porcupine Creek, the equally private course on the nearby estate of the very-much-alive tech billionaire Larry Ellison.
The White House said Obama received regular briefings on the worsening crisis in Iraq during his golf weekend. “The president directed [National Security Adviser Susan Rice] to continue to keep him apprised of the latest developments,” said spokesman Josh Earnest, “as his national security team continues to meet through the weekend to review potential options.”

  1. The fact that John Kerry, who served in Vietnam, wanted to create the impression in the press that they are considering WORKING WITH Iran to defeat the terrorists tells you everything you need to know. These people truly believe all that needs to happen here is Obama needs to sing koombaya and make a speech and the terrorists will throw down their arms and run away home.

  2. With Rice and President Malice on the job, we will soon see the maker of that awful, offensive video behind bars.

  3. I wonder what it would take for him to cancel a tee time – besides a white guy beating up a black guy in a swing state.

  4. I don’t mind that Obama plays a lot of golf.
I do mind that he lectures us on the evils of AGW, mocking those who express skepticism, while doing nothing to abate his massive emissions.

  5. This would be the same Susan Rice who hasn’t got a clue what the hell is going on? That Susan Rice?

  6. Fast and Furious is not about gun running its about the occupant in chief frantically trying to get his golf handicap and his IQ to match. He only has a few more years before he will have to pay for his own golfing which will, for lack of practice, undoubtedly make his handicap much higher than his IQ

  7. That Susan Rice. Susan “Clueless” Rice.
I am currently in the Z.I. and the morning TV drives me crazy with the twits twittering away about DoD presenting
Obama with “options” which he then “mulls.” It is truly war by pussies against hard men.

  8. As he plays golf, he thinks little of his pet Islamic colleagues savaging and reshaping the ME, it’s what they do. And apparently no US president has been able to tame them or outsmart them (Churchill tried to warn them many times). No, Obama pretends to care but what he really enjoys is living the life off of the people he has mostly contempt for and perhaps grinning as he relishes the thought of just a few years ago, those of his adopted identity group (Obama is no descendant of slaves but more likely that of slave traders) wouldn’t be allowed as players. Vengeance is his anyway.
The US could beat any nation in a conventional or nuclear war but is hopeless at nation building, exerting lasting influence, and now, outwitting anyone across a negotiating table. Pure isolationism may not be the answer but interventionism under the leadership of partisan drones or perhaps a Manchurian is far worse.

  9. He’s a second term President, the only balls he has left, or needs is golf balls, it’s playtime for the Big O. Hope someone is paying attention to what lamebrain Kerry is up to as he trots around the globe looking gormless.

  10. Summation of the Obamanation.
    “Cause Golf is hard.”
    Never mind math.

  11. the names Annenburg, and Ellison…..you don’t want to disappoint the J….erm moneyed ones. These are Karl’s hench men

  12. No worries, he’s connected to an insider who knows just what to do. Iranian born Valerie Jarrett.

  13. Worsening crisis?
Are the Chinese buying up all available stock and
inventory in his favourite golf ball company?

  14. Oh nonsense. The US built democracy in Japan, which has lasted. The US+UK built democracy in Germany, which has
lasted. George Bush won in Iraq, and it took over five years for the Democrats to succeed in losing it. The UK ruled
Afghanistan for many years, in peace.
Defeatists, go to Hell. If American and UK troops had been pulled out of Germany in 1946, the Nazis would be a major
    world force NOW.

The Canadian Connection learned her lying from her CBC Canadian Husband.. Now ABC Producer of George Stupid-odorous
    BIO
She finished her schooling in 1990, and started work as an international management consultant at McKinsey & Company in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. On Septmber 12, 1992, she married her Stanford romantic interest, Ian Cameron, who was working as a television producer in Toronto for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. The couple lived in Canada until 1993, when Rice took a job with the National Security Council in Washington, D.C., under President Clinton.

  16. Presenting the success of what has become a permanent US garrison in non-Islamic, IE civilized nations after total victory over exclusively uniformed military forces almost 70 years ago as an argument to continue in complete futility to wage “war” on a tactic (terror) in the Islamic wastelands where no sides are worthy of the sacrifice of one soldier of a Western nation – doesn’t cut it.
How long were the British in Afghanistan and what good did it do them? India was likely their greatest colonial success but for that piece that happened to be majority Islamic (Pakistan). Hmmmmmm.
I can see no problem with an 11 Carrier Group Navy or even giving Nukes to South Korea, Japan and Taiwan but the US has no pressing need nor budget for garrisoning the planet (Germany today – really?) and particularly in the ME and certainly not under the last few decades of progressive Commanders in Chief who are all incapable of coherently naming their enemy.
