For a long while I’ve been trying to interest my friends in the art world to get behind freedom of speech in a bigger way… This usually doesn’t persuade anyone who isn’t already liberty-minded to begin with. So next I resort to self-interest. We creative types rely on that openness to function… If injured feelings take on the seriousness of injured bodies, we will become a society that pulls art off of walls, cancels performances, and strikes essays from public view. Sadly, this usually doesn’t work either, because the targets of accusations of hate speech typically lean right, and the art community leans left.

The sadness of it all (beyond the impact on the majority of attendees) is the reluctance of the majority to interfere. This has become a learned response of the educated class of ordinary people.
The education of non-ordinary people is to realize that being non-ordinary, monied childhood, it is necessary to follow the tenets of “The Prince” and/or “The Art of War”. Only in this direction will the monied childhood be passed on to the next generation.
The result is the passive majority and the manipulative trend setters. The agents for the manipulative trend setters, quickly thrown under the bus in the political world and radicalized for a life of anger and hurt in the “real world”.
I have no solution except the trading, hetereonormative normal world has been the base for the advancement of the evolution of the wage based civilization. It is also the goal of the educated non-monied ordinary people. Possibly the ongoing need for technological ordinary people will maintain a non-oppressive society somewhere in the world. Cheers;

mikeSr….I agree 100% Problem is, as soon as the first goon started spouting,I would lay him/her flat on the floor,and then I would be in the crap.Never mind the fact how much I argued that it was supposed to be a “free” debate,and they lost in the first 5 seconds….I will be the guilty one. The big problem is,we have two sides to deal with; the leftards that show up in hordes as the parasites they are,and the brown shirts who protect them under orders from the corrupt political masters.I found out about three weeks ago the best method….take said goons cell phone(quite easy),stomp on it,then tell them to go bitch to Mr.Brownshirt.It does help to have a lawyer(gag)who when the cop’s guns come out,tell them that I only destroyed “public,evil oil property” and was saving the earth. I know it sounds wierd,but it works.And it keeps the right,right,jab,knee to the crocth up to standard…heh
