  1. When Harry Met Hillary
Then came Billy Clinter and the Gusset of Fire, in which the vast right-wing conspiracy led by the sinister Lord Newt and Doleful Bob plant a hogtail disguised as a house elf in his hotel room in Little Hangleton. The elf tricks Billy into revealing his pocket sneakoscope and she glimpses its remarkable distinguishing characteristics, the strange lightning bolt along the side that signals the tremendous potency of his Slytherin Beaubaton. After this narrow escape, the young wizard gets into yet more scrapes in Billy Clinter and the Prisoner of Azkansas, in which Rodham tells the story of how young Billy and his much brainier friend, Hillary Granger, finally escape the hideous swamp of Azkansas after being trapped there for far longer than Hillary had expected to be.

  2. It`s ironic that on the eve of the Ontario Election, the CBC (CBC.CA) chose to publish this story of ”The man with the briefcase,” aka Jean Yves Lortie, a former aide during the Mulroney PC government. Brian Mulroney`s last day as PM was June 25, 1993. (That`s over 10 years before the Sponsorship Scandal surfaced.) Lortie claims he`s had a religious awakening, and that has led him to talk to the media. (If you want to call the CBC the media.)
Lets see now, Jean Yves Lortie. Is that the guy we see standing behind the Babushka Lady near the Grassy Knoll??
    Only at CBC.

  3. Michelle Fields…you are NOT a muzzie. Sure the schtick works in talks, but you are a Christian apostate. The fatwah has all ready been issued. May your breath of fresh air be protected by Christ,Jaweh,Jehovah,or even the Great Bear

  4. At least 90% of the population will completely ignore this in their quest for cheap meat. Perhaps the consequence of overpopulation is that they become decimated from being too stupid to prevent it.

  5. If Michelle Fields ever needs someone to make her brown sugar cinnamon toast and a mug of the President’s Choice excellent hot chocolate with marshmallows in it while giving her an endless foot massage and watching late night foreign films, sorry, “cinema” … she knows how to reach me already.

  6. Justin sent out another Liberal letter tonight to the faithful.
He says ,” Last year, Liberal MPs raised the bar on openness and transparency in Parliament with our Open Parliament plan — including voluntarily disclosing our travel and hospitality expenses. Because we led by example, all MPs in the House of Commons are now required to disclose these expenses quarterly. ”
Really now. Does Justie even know what his pro-active disclosure looks like ???

  7. FDA Backs Down In Fight Over Aged Cheese
The FDA is backing away (at least temporarily) from a policy statement that declared cheese makers would no longer be able to age their cheese on wooden boards. The statement caused outrage in the artisan cheese community and consumers quickly came to the aid of the industry signing onto a petition and expressing their outrage through social media. The American Cheese Society released a position statement, and it was clear that the industry was prepared to fight back if the FDA did not change its position.
Today, the FDA claimed that it in fact had not issued a new policy, they stated:
“The FDA does not have a new policy banning the use of wooden shelves in cheese-making, nor is there any FSMA requirement in effect that addresses this issue. Moreover, the FDA has not taken any enforcement action based solely on the use of wooden shelves.
In the interest of public health, the FDA’s current regulations state that utensils and other surfaces that contact food must be “adequately cleanable” and properly maintained. Historically, the FDA has expressed concern about whether wood meets this requirement and has noted these concerns in inspectional findings. FDA is always open to evidence that shows that wood can be safely used for specific purposes, such as aging cheese.
The FDA will engage with the artisanal cheese-making community to determine whether certain types of cheeses can safely be made by aging them on wooden shelving.”

  8. Those Moderate Teachers: BC Teachers to strike.
BC teachers spent millions of extorted union dues campaigning against BC Liberal: Their beloved NDP lost badly. Now the wonder why they can’t seem to reach an agreement with the BC Government.
BC Teachers issue 72 hour strike notice.

  10. Here’s my take on today’s election in Ontario.
If the gimme gimme voters once again prevail, our budgeting and expenditures will be decided in due course by the banks and bondholders under a bankruptcy.
If civil servants think Hudak is scary, wait till Ernst and Young start laying them off. Pensioned public sector workers will need to get used to the words: Fries with that sir? Just like the rest of us.
If the ‘least left’ Progressive Conservative’s happen to prevail, we may be able to skate through to the time when all debt is officially paid through inflated dollars. A 500 Billion dollar debt is pretty east to pay when a loaf of bread costs i million.

“U.S. Said to Rebuff Iraqi Request to Strike Militants”
“As the threat from Sunni militants in western Iraq escalated last month, Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki secretly asked the Obama administration to consider carrying out airstrikes against extremist staging areas, according to Iraqi and American officials.
But Iraq’s appeals for a military response have so far been rebuffed by the White House, which has been reluctant to open a new chapter in a conflict that President Obama has insisted was over when the United States withdrew the last of its forces from Iraq in 2011.”

  12. http://cis.org/immigrant-welfare-use-2011
In 2009 (based on data collected in 2010), 57 percent of households headed by an immigrant (legal and illegal) with children (under 18) used at least one welfare program, compared to 39 percent for native households with children.
Although most new legal immigrants are barred from using some welfare for the first five years, this provision has only a modest impact on household use rates because most immigrants have been in the United States for longer than five years; the ban only applies to some programs; some states provide welfare to new immigrants with their own money; by becoming citizens immigrants become eligible for all welfare programs; and perhaps most importantly, the U.S.-born children of immigrants (including those born to illegal immigrants) are automatically awarded American citizenship and are therefore eligible for all welfare programs at birth.

  13. Study did not compare the immigrants to those in the same income category. Apples to oranges, derp to derp.

“Americans Evacuate Iraq as Islamists Erect Grim Tokens of the Conquest”
“Fox reports that American contractors are being evacuated from Iraq. They were in country training the Iraqi army. That army is melting down in the face of the ISIS insurgency which is swiftly taking Iraq’s major cities.
Officials say three planeloads of Americans are being evacuated from a major Iraqi air base in Sunni territory north of Baghdad to escape potential threats from a fast-moving insurgency.
A current U.S. official and a former senior Obama administration official say that means the American training mission at the air field in Balad has been grounded indefinitely.
    To say the least.
American personnel remain in the U.S. embassy in Baghdad, for now. ISIS is closing in on Baghdad from the north and the west. Bombs are reportedly already going off within the capital city.”

  15. A victory, a small victory, but it is a first step.
Leader Justin Trudeau promised to post expenses of his MPs quarterly, but that’s proving difficult
    http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/liberals-find-posting-mp-expenses-an-onerous-task-1.2673341
I have been posting about this for a bit. Finally, the media is noticing.
For more on JT’s problems with reality, click my name. I haven’t done much on the site for a month or so, or organized it very well, but it does have a lot of the reasons why JT should never be allowed near the brass ring.
BTW, the BOIE is linked to somewhere on the site. The board does have 2 NDP and 1 Liberal.
Someone should poke a microphone into their gobs and ask them about the decisions that the board makes.

Beside the point, 57% of immigrant households with children are on welfare. Immigrant households with children are a net drain.

  18. The Welfare Reform Act of 1996 that Clinton signed into law was one of the first things Obama threw under the bus if I recall. Welfare use has skyrocketed since of course.

  19. “OBAMA’S “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED” MOMENT”
“The crisis in the Middle East is way too serious for political opportunism. On the other hand, the Democrats have engaged in nothing but political opportunism with regard to that region since 2003. So why not point out that we are experiencing Barack Obama’s “Mission Accomplished” moment? Has an American president ever been so clueless about the state of the world?”
