I first heard of this from tour members on the Hanson tour, who thought that it was a bungle. They are all
conservative BTW, and very solid people, but even now they are dreadfully naive about the Obama. Yesterday at
dinner, for example, I remarked that I expected Obama to run in 2016. “He can’t. It’s unconstitutional,” one replied.
“And your point is?” said I. They know the damage he is doing but intend to wait him out. Well, I hope that their
optimism is justified.
I’m sure that Obama will be “furious” once the script is written for him.
Odds are, it’s intentional. CIA guy probably pissed off the Won by being too honest about the state of affairs in Af’stan.
Curious that it was the agent in Libya who was exposed. I wonder what he knows of Benghazi.

Not that anyone cares, but…Plame was “outed” as a direct reprisal for her husband’s (a former US Ambassador with direct knowledge of the situation) op-ed piece, which if I recall correctly, was about the “yellow cake” fraud. A fraud later directly linked to one of the PNAC authors or fellow travelers. In other words it was a deliberate political reprisal, an act of hate for contrary opinion (later verified as fact). In an ironic twist it was later revealed that Plame was arguably one of the best placed sources for real nuclear proliferation intel…go figure. It is hard to confuse the two actions as similar…and God knows the current prez seems more than a tad hopeless.
“Plame was arguably one of the best placed sources for real nuclear proliferation intel…” The rest of the story, in the story, is that her husband was also a CIA resource (Ambassador & CIA) and he was outed by her/his hidden association. Husband & wife teams are “normally” recruited in college.

Slapshot, I was just putting this out for balance, all easily verifiable with a two-minute open-source search. What you are suggesting requires either personal knowledge (once a spook always a spook) or a reasonably credible source.
