Libya was simply the last example where Canada heeded the call for help without really thinking it through. The Euros wanted the oil so thru some convoluted logic Harper sent the air force.
I have little patience for this type of thing. It is in Canada’s interest to see the ME go up in flames. Sorry to be frank but that is the geopolitical reality. It is time for the saying ‘damn the torpedoes full steam ahead’! Canada has to do whatever it takes to be a world oil power.
As world finances crumble it will be all about what you can sell me. Strip away the enviro BS and back to basics will do the trick. Along with the benefits of oil wealth will be the need to defend it. Actions by OPEC, Russia and sadly the USA have indicated that defending Canada will be more than enough of a challenge than worrying about the ME where most people hate white Christians.
