  1. Is the mass abortion of autistic children soon nigh?
“[Senior scientist Stephen] Scherer said the research has established a connection between autism and certain genes that are ‘turned on’ in early fetal development.”
In the Journal of the Blatantly Obvious, National Security Edition (CBC link, sorry):
“The Canadian government should consider investigating the activities of the Muslim Brotherhood, which has entrenched itself in North America and represents a greater systemic threat than al-Qaeda, according to a newly released report on the group.”

“MERKEL SNUBS BAN KI-MOON’S UN CLIMATE CONFERENCE”
“Berlin-based leftist daily TAZ here reports that German Chancellor Angela Merkel isn’t going to bother attending the Ban Ki-Moon initiated climate conference in New York this coming September. The TAZ adds this has been “confirmed by a government spokesman“.”

  4. $30,000,000,000 less paid by taxpayers to Ottawa year due to tax cuts since 2005…

” Despite some criticism in this area, the PBO says the lion’s share of the tax savings have gone to low middle income earners — households with incomes between $12,200 and $23,000.
The lowest and highest 10 per cent of income earners have benefited the least from the changes.”
Confirmation, yet again, of why I vote CPC.

  5. Above article fails to note that the lowest income earners don’t pay any income tax in any event. However, they did benefit in real terms when the GST was cut to 5%.

  6. Scientist fired for study linking gay sex to HIV transmission.
Excerpt from a statement published by the Caribbean Vulnerable Communities Coalition, an umbrella organization for 35 advocacy groups:

It is not (Professor Brendan Bain’s) right to have deeply held views that has been at issue, but the evident conflict of his action to rob some of justice and equality before the law with his capacity to represent UWI’s values in leading an HIV movement working for health and justice for all.

The university has been careful to note the hurt Professor Bain’s advocacy has done to gay and lesbian persons in the Caribbean…

“Pregnant Pakistani woman stoned to death by family”
“LAHORE, Pakistan (AP) — A pregnant woman was stoned to death Tuesday by her own family outside a courthouse in the Pakistani city of Lahore for marrying the man she loved.
The woman was killed while on her way to court to contest an abduction case her family had filed against her husband. Her father was promptly arrested on murder charges, police investigator Rana Mujahid said, adding that police were working to apprehend all those who participated in this “heinous crime.”
Arranged marriages are the norm among conservative Pakistanis, and hundreds of women are murdered every year in so-called honor killings carried out by husbands or relatives as a punishment for alleged adultery or other illicit sexual behavior.
Stonings in public settings, however, are extremely rare.”

“IceAgeNow writes: As of today, 27 May 2014, Lake Superior ice cover stands at 4.3% – the greatest level of ice seen on this date, not only on Lake Superior, but on all of the Great Lakes since modern satellite records in 1980-81. “After Obama finished talking to individual students and posing for pictures with the press, White House correspondent for Real Clear Politics Alexis Simendinger asked him a question about breaking news on the White House’s approach to Syria’s civil war as he prepared to exit the room.
“I’m sorry, we’re doing a science fair – c’mon. C’mon.” Obama said irritably as he turned and walked out of the room.”

  10. This is incredible, if true.
“In Scarborough-Agincourt, one Muraly Srinarayanathas was one who was seeking nomination. He had gone to the extent of opening an office on May 4 at 5 p.m. But meanwhile he received numerous phone calls from the so-called emissaries of Trudeau asking him to drop off from the nomination as they were no longer assured of the victory to the prefered candidate. Apparently after getting told that the candidate will be red-carded for future nominations, Muraly dropped out at 5 p.m. on May 4 in front of a crowd of over 100 people in his office.”
This implies that he opened up his office only to announce that he was dropping out of the nomination race.
AND, this is found half-way through an article that says that another JT candidate was buying memberships for people in a riding who were then told to vote Trudeau.
Also. this is noteworthy; ” Last week, I contacted Quebec Liberal Party candidate, campaign co-chair and chief Quebec organizer Pablo Rodriguez for comment.”
Remember Pablo? Remember Pablo’s wild ride?
Probably not. Pabby boy got a little tipsy and crashed his car into a few others. The media buried it.The Libs ignored it. I’m pretty sure he was convicted, but the court documents are likely sealed. There is nothing on the internet about it that I could find. However his travel expenses did take a huge jump in 2012. That is likely because he lost his license.

    “What did it achieve?
Obama wants to keep 10,000 troops in country by 2015 tapering down to an ‘embassy security force’ by the time his term ends. ”Obama called for 9,800 U.S. troops to stay in Afghanistan after the end of 2014, along with some allied forces,” Jake Tapper at CNN says. “The number would get cut roughly in half by the end of 2015, and by the end of 2016 – shortly before Obama’s presidency concludes – the U.S. military presence would scale down to an embassy security operation, he said.”
“We will bring America’s longest war to a responsible end,” Obama said in the White House Rose Garden in detailing the strategy to have virtually all U.S. forces out of Afghanistan by the end of 2016 — shortly before his presidency ends … if the Afghan government signs a security agreement.
Getting Afghan permission may not be easy. Karzai wouldn’t even meet with Obama when he flew there a few days ago.”
