Jihadists Now Control Secretive U.S. Base in Libya;
In the summer of 2012, American Green Berets began refurbishing a Libyan military base 27 kilometers west of Tripoli in order to hone the skills of Libya’s first Western-trained special operations counter-terrorism fighters. Less than two years later, that training camp is now being used by groups with direct links to al Qaeda to foment chaos in post-Qaddafi Libya.
But America retains the moral high ground because they still make the lease payments.
In an earlier time, the relentless series of such incidents would lead American patriots to have years ago dragged the occupant of the White House outside by the collar and tarred & feathered him … as a serious WAKE-UP CALL to get his head out of his @$$ and into the game. Now it’s way past time for that … revolutions have begun with less provocation.

I seem to remember that we invaded Afghanistan and fought a 13 year war/occupation because they had al Qaeda training bases there and now the U.S. has provided al Qaeda with a training base in Libya?

Unless somebody has just dropped in from another planet, it’s been US foreign policy to support Islamic jihadists for several decades now, through several administrations.
The result has been even more turmoil in the middle east and even Lurch aka John Kerry cannot fix it … never mind the fact he’s a total blustering incompetent who’s already been proven wrong on a couple of assumptions in other matters.
