It's A Dry Cold

I like it. But Kate I do worry sometimes that if you keep showing off how beautiful it is far too many people will come piling in and fill the place up.

Mine's a wet one. Runny eyes, runny nose and sneezy showers. A a a a choo.

Brass monkeys are singing soprano!

You got it!

Kate took this photo a few days ago and the double sun dog rainbow indicated an extreme weather change. Well we got, cold, and that is where the brass monkey comes into the picture.

Remember, our annual three-month-long cold snap helps to reduce the number of insects, street people, and senior citizens who wish to live among us. A win all around!

I am fond of saying if everyone in Edmonton won the lottery tomorrow there wouldn't be a soul left there the day after.

We live in this frozen hell hole for economic reasons. Period.

And thank god we were able to move here because the thought of the alternative is very sobering.

A dry cold, is like a dry sense of humour, only when it "kills", it is deadlier.

Just knowing that we are sharing this normal Canadian winter with most of the USA does make it all worthwhile. A couple more winters like this one and there won't be a State Al Gore can visit without being tar and feathered.

From above: "reduce the number of insects, street people, and senior citizens"

The -40C temperatures should kill off a bunch of pine beetles, but the senior citizens are harder to get rid of. :-)

Snowshoeing on Lake Louise (seniors outdoor club)

"Sun dog you'd better take care
If I find you been creeping down my back stair."

We came for land and freedom and the cold may help up preserve it.

It kept Napoleon and Hitler out of Russia.

It froze the invading revolutionary American forces advancing on Canada via the St. Lawrence in 1775. They did not know how to fight in cold weather. When the ice finally melted Benedict Arnold retreated and look what happened to him.

I'm Apologetic to Gordon Lighfoot

Unfortunately, the LIVs and braindead enviroloonies now believe in 'climate change', where ANY weather event outside of the "norm" is blamed on CO2. When its too hot, too cold, too dry, too wet, or too windy, it is the fault of CO2.

Because tornados, hurricanes, droughts, monsoons, and lingering winter cold didn't happen before 1987.....or at least is ignored, by the same enviroloons.

See, that's a pretty scientific like explanantion. Works on the left. And I agree, the leftists should just really shut up at this point, from this typical winter, but they won't. It doesn't fit the meme, and it will be minimized and pushed aside by the converted. Despite ManBearPig's apocalyptic nonsense , "arctic ice gone by 2013, snow a distant memoory in Britain"......
