Global Warming Cult Members on Display

Have you ever challenged a person when they've used the term "denier" to describe people who question the Theory of Man-made Global Warming? I have. But in every single case, when I've pointed out to them that their use of the "D" word is a direct reference/comparison to Holocaust Deniers, they adamantly state that it is not. In some ways, I believe them, for most are LIPs (Low Information Parrots) who are simply regurgitating the latest talking points they've absorbed from their MSM "news" sources.

However, no such excuse can be given to educated Leftists - the politicians and writers and academics who clearly DO know better. In a recent column, James Delingpole exposes one such person:

Global warming 'deniers' are as bad as 'Holocaust deniers' because climate change is as "as certain as Auschwitz", a Guardian columnist, Nick Cohen, has claimed.

Delingpole provides a link to an interesting article published a month ago which provides a lengthy gallery of prominent Leftists and their use of the term "denier".

It seems that anybody involved in the MSM is into the AGW cult.

Today the Holmes Makes it Right episode was about repairing a flood damaged house for one of the gun thieves in High River, AB.

At the end of the episode Holmes went on a tirade about global warming and all.

I guess, contractor or otherwise, wearing women's jewellery causes your brain to go dead.

Leftists have always been especially good at propaganda, and the sheeple accept it because of the illusion that Leftists are "for the people". Stupid gullible people are always easily deceived, more so when someone promises to rob from the rich and give it to the poor.

Anyone who understands building science knows that Holmes is a fraud and a poser. Acting like a dandy in overalls appeals to his clientele. People in the business know him as the "House Pimp".

Lately I've began referring to global warming as 'silly superstition' when talking to 'believers'. I don't mind being called a denier but they sure don't like being called superstitious, not to mention 'silly'. Try it, you'll get some interesting reactions.

The notion that humans cause the planet to warm and the climate to change is just another made-up religion. That's what people who don't understand earth science do when something changes and they don't know why. The priests used to be called 'witch doctors' now they're called 'climate scientists'.

Calling it a religion really pisses 'em off.

In a similar vein, I have been trying to get folks who call CAGW a religion to stop doing that. Most sceptics are somewhat innocently unaware of the slight, but I explain that it is a deep insult to good folks who do not deserve to get lumped in with such ignominious company. CAGW is a cult, as well as all the things you mention.

And you are right, I take great pleasure upsetting the hardcore, true beliebers. I had some shirts made that simply say "I am a heretic" and wear them proudly. You would be surprised how many folks think I am referring to religious heresy and walk into the trap! Loads of fun. Folks need to learn to stand up to these charlatans. They are a mile wide but only a half-inch deep.

First person I had to call out on this BS was a bible thumping conservative!

I knew it was a religion when one of the acolytes called me a "non-believer" - and that was on a "Voyage to the Glaciers" in Alaska. It was cold last September too!

Sure, 'cult' works for me too.

Discover the cause of the warming, the end of it, why temperatures are headed down and what to expect.

There are only two primary drivers of average global temperature change. They very accurately explain the reported up and down measurements since before 1900 with R2>0.9 (correlation coefficient = 0.95) and provide credible estimates back to the low temperatures of the Little Ice Age (1610).

CO2 change is NOT one of the drivers.

The drivers are given at

Here is further evidence that the scam is pandemic:

"It is not just natural climate forcings that the AAAS ignored. As a biologist who has studied the impacts of regional climate change on wildlife in California’s Sierra Nevada for 3 decades, the AAAS’s simplistic and misleading discussion of extinctions and ecosystem collapse is simply shameful fear mongering. I agree wholeheartedly with Dr. Pielke. It is an embarrassment to the scientific community."

Some good old-fashioned, sound science but it will be ignored or ridiculed by the cultists and the mindless sheep that follow.

Me: Question 1. Do you believe in Global Warming?

"Why of course I do"

Me: Question 2. Do you still belief in Santa Claus?

"Of course not, why do you ask?"

Me: just trying to gauge your level of gullibility.

They call me a Denier, I call them a Warmonger.
Leftist hate, really, really hate being called a warmonger.

Some of the thugs might be actual scientists of one sort or another but most seem to be mere pundits or, gawd help us, activists chirping whatever the party line might be. All of them believe they believe it.

Ya, s'truth. I have encountered a couple myself. But in fairness, they tend to be more open minded on this subject than the fanatics. The only religious folk I have encountered that refuse to be swayed by sound reasoning tend to be United Church types who no longer actually believe in Christ, which kinda makes the whole Christian thing moot. But point taken. CAGW alarmism is a non-specific pathogen. I just prefer not to over-generalise and needlessly insult folks I care about.

good one !!

of course their usual defense of their belief is the "97% of scientists agree" and when it's pointed out to be false, they say "no its not", at which point the discussion is over.

The Cult of Calamitous Climate?
The way most of them behave we could use Kapitol Ks.
What separates a religion from a cult?
Are the fanatical sects of Christianity or the various violent Moslem off shouts religion or cult?

What ever it manifests itself as CAGW.. CC .GCD..XW… insert this week name..It is an intelligence use.
Popular delusions, madness od mobs.
The herd beasts will huddle together proclaiming the wisdom of their high priests, everybody knows and none will think.
The contrarians will decide for themselves.
Those who have the most to gain from the madness of the many, are most vicious in their assaults on any who challenge their little scams.
CAGW is in many ways a rerun of Eugenics.
All the "correct" persons fell for that vile crud too.
Educated beyond ones intelligence is not a new social phenomena.
The assault on science is no new thing either, the right to be sceptical of public wisdom, with the right to state your doubt publicly, were hard won privileges.
Guess we are slipping back into divinity of priests and burn the heretics.

I politely suggested to a fellow teacher that perhaps the Environment Club, of which he was the advisor, might wish to show Stossel's piece on global warming as a counterpoint to their scheduled screening of An Undeniable Truth. He confronted me in the staff room and loudly accused me of parroting talking points from the "neo-con Bush Cheney White House". It was pretty uncomfortable. Don't know what the other staff members thought of his narrow minded behavior, but it's likely they didn't know what was going on as I hadn't promulgated the original email to the whole staff.

Heh, quoting someone who was paraphrasing scripture...

Mat 7:6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Mike Holmes is foremost an entertainer but if you built a house the way he does it you couldn't afford the final price tag. There are 2 sides to every house repair disaster but Holmes tells only 1 side. Many contractors know guys like Mike; a know everything blow bag.

I believe in climate change. The climate is changing all the time. I don't believe in Anthropogenic Global Warming though. I don't believe that humans are the sole cause of climate change, or global warming, if they want to call it that. Like anything else from the left, this is a scam to transfer money. That humans may cause some interference in the climate is a given. The urban heat islands are a perfect example of human activity, building a city, causing localized warming due to heat retention of the city. Our contribution to CO2? Not so much, in my opinion.

your sure right about that north of 60, I heard him giving advice on rural pumps and pressure systems and septic systems and realized all I needed was an earring and some overalls instead of knowledge and honesty. Just go on believing in the gaia god mikey while we are now looking at over 4 monthes of f,ing winter here in Alberta. Mikey is a bozo.

The appropriate response to that 97% drivel is to remind them that 100% of Alchemists believed in those theory and that didn't work out so well.

Or the 99.999% of doctors who believed ulcers were caused by stress.

The herd beasts will huddle together proclaiming the wisdom of their high priests, everybody knows and none will think.

It will make it easier for the inevitable plagues to decimate their ranks.

Ebola is a good candidate. It's starting to get a good run in Africa and most of the news media are suppressing the story.

Yup, I knew we could find something to agree on.

Yes, I remind them that a consensus of scientists thought the earth was flat and the sun orbited that flat earth, but by then their eyes glaze over. Most of them don't actually understand, they just parrot whatever their farcebook friends tell them. It's like trying to discuss spirituality with a JW.

"Are the fanatical sects of Christianity or the various violent Moslem off shouts religion or cult?"

I would say that the fanatical Christian sects are mostly cults and that most Muslims are convicts held in a particularly brutal and authoritarian political system. But you are right. Climate hysteria by any name is simply a form of mass psychosis, stoked by an increasingly tyrannical and authoritarian political system. I expect they will try to restrain me as a dangerous heretic, but they'll have to catch me first and that will not be easy.

If warmism is a religion, it's close to shamanism...google it.

Yeah well, I dunno what the hell a cult is....mebba a small group following a leader teaching a non-standard religion....eg John the Baptist....it's a matter of usage I guess.

Islam is too big to be a cult...mpw but it was originally a cult designed by it's homicidal, misogynist, klepto, pedophilic "prophet"...a cult of brigands...but that does not make it a legitimate religion....it certainly is "a particularly brutal and authoritarian political system"....

Muslims are not convicts...they are inmates....to leave, is to die.

It's a pity the Mongols interrupted their invasion of Eygpt....they were real good at deprogramming Muslims....they did a fine job on Tamerlain's git and then came back and swiftly took out the Assassins....then sacked Baghdad....they wuz on a roll.

Do you have "The Christians" history of Christianity books by chance? Your info sounds like what I read in them.

I say; "Denier?" "Not me, the Holocaust was real, Hitler and his followers killed over 6 million European Jews."
"And the kind of people who jumped on the Nazi bandwagon are the same kind of people who jumped on the Global Warming bandwagon."

The exact same. In fact for the first decade, Germans were the biggest supporters of Global Warming. Way ahead of every other western country in screwing up by implementing failed alternative energy policies.

The poster boy for stupid happens to be Prince Chuck.

I can't stomach this dope having even ceremonial say on what goes on in Canada.

BTW: F*ck Eastlink for propagating his, and their, stupidity. I have choices now Eastlink.

I would say it blew past religion into a full blown cult
decades ago! I am working on a photographic project
to illustrate just how small .035% truly is.

It consists of a total of 9,996-1/2 pennies stacked in
neat rows and columns, with 3-1/2 pennies to represent
the total amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. This is:

.o35%
Or 350PPM
Or 3.5/10,000

This is a fart in a hurricane. It is too small to even
register as a thin line in a pie chart. It is a trace
trace level gas, and the vast majority is not created by
human activity.

I hope to use this to convince people how insignificant
350PPM is. This should convince all but the ignorant and
the corrupt.

Not only that, for the earth's history this is the lowest CO2 has been in a long time; it's just barely above the 150 ppm necessary for plant growth, and most plant growth will slow significantly below 250ppm.
http://pxly.org/xJ

We often use CO2 concentration to control building ventilation in spaces with intermittent occupancy like churches and theaters. The ventilation is increased when the CO2 reaches 800ppm. Most people don't notice CO2 until it gets above 1000ppm and might feel a bit drowsy at about 1200ppm.
It starts to be toxic after 4hrs at 50,000ppm.

Exactly, and THEN move the weather monitoring station to these heat islands to drive the readings upwards, while ignoring data from remote stations that show no change, or even outright eliminating those stations.

Nah I read a lotta history.....

Some caution is advised.... Will and Ariel Durant told of their constant struggle to avoid putting their personal bias into their work.

"One thing to be said about war...it makes rattling good history.
Thomas Hardy

Even in past times, economics and trade ruled the outcomes of war. Napolean tried to isolate Britain economically with an embargo and then learned to his chagrin that his army marched on British boots.

The Vandals and the Mongol horde which occupied respectively Tunisia and Persia.....were assimilated with a coupla generations....assimilated. Genghis Khan outlawed any inter-marriage with Mongols.....wise man.

He who ignores history is doomed to repeat it.

“Holocaust Deniers” – Yet these are the very people who hate the Jews and wholeheartedly support their extermination from their homeland, by Islamic Hitler worshipping NAZI’s.

Must be the “Socialist” moniker that allows for both kinship and hate for the same people all at the same time.

I suppose if Hitler won the war he wouldn't deny the Holocaust either.

I'm not reading Will & Ariel Durante. My books were compiled by Ted Byfield. It's the history of Christianity not the History Of Civilization.

I forgot a few other points of useless trivia;

Weight of a penny: 3.11 Grams, or .0068 LB

Weight of 10,000 pennies($100.00:) 31,100 Grams or 68.56 LB

Weight of 9,9996.5 pennies: 31,089 Grams, or 68.54 LB

Total concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere:

10.88 Grams or .023 LB vs 31,089 Grams or 68.54 LB

Any honest person needs to put this to a test: How can
any substance that exists at the trace level of 350PPM
be capable of increasing the temperature on a planetary
level?

If you believe this, you are a product of modern education
and are simply too stupid to breathe!

3.5 parts of CO2 in 9,998.5 parts of mostly N2 and O2 is
too small to make any difference whatsoever!

Sorry Al Gore and Michael Mann, you have no credibility.

The use of the term denier was one of the reasons people began looking into GW alarmism. It is a call to arms. I hope they never stop using the term.
