That is what we admire about the Globe and Mail . . . credibility.

Probably too busy chugging Harper Derangement Syndrome Kool Aide to actually check any facts.

The Hope and Fail . . . making their normally pathetic level of journalism look like brilliant reporting.

Like Kate said in a tweet, no reporter can resist the bait of blaming a Christian group.

THE MOP AND PAIL
"We Report You Deride"

The Mop & Pail polishing and cleaning up political spills just for your consumption..!

Does anybody really read that anymore from the Fearless Flunkies for Fallacies?

Yeah, of course the 'radical Christians' are in league with the Hell's Angels...they go around 'dusting' & 'icing' government spooks all the time.

Before ya know it the mounted horseman of the Knights Templar will be laying waste to your village and razing it to the ground.

Maybe psychologists will find a new mental disorder: 'journalism'

And traffic is ... really ... really bad!

Why can't those Mennonites and Hutterites just stay on the farm where they belong?

I knew there was a good reason why I do not buy that budgie rug. Sick bunch.

NSA or TSA what's the difference?
One violates your privacy the other violates your privates.

Sounds like like the shooter may in fact be a disgruntled TSA employee. Gone "postal" as it were.

Weasel Zippers is running an update that says the shooter was a ticketed passenger and not another TSA agent. It looks like the 24-hour rule should be applied.

Radical Christian shooter. The heathen leftists at the Globe just SO wanted this to be true, they figured go with the story and maybe reality will conform itself somehow. Come to think of it, that's pretty much the leftist view of *everything*.

Either way, it's a good thing someone sent him to Hell.

Airport witnesses:

I saw he had something looked like an assault rifle,
a huge gun strapped over his shoulder, hanging down on the right side of his waist.”

Jara described the shooter he saw as a white male with blonde/dirty blonde hair possibly wearing khakis,

clean-cut, and “walking like he was going to buy tea.”

-

Soooo,

Now have a white male with an assault rifle, going to buy Tea.

Liberals always mention an assault rifle even if it was a six shooter and he must have been a Tea Party Member..

Cartoon Carnival..

What "radical Christian group"? I'm not aware of any.

The Quakers, batb. Society of Friends, my butt!

You must be thinking of the "Amish Mafia"; even Santa is getting in on this gig:

It was a mini Ruger with a folding stock.
Same gun as Gamil Gharbi except Gharbi probably didn't have a folding stock.
A small carbine not a 'high power rifle'.

So the push back has finally begun, if what this appears to be is true. It is about time. I can't believe it took so long for some Americans to realize that they have been taken over by a radical secular group that is destroying it's freedom and prosperity, not to mention what's left of it's reputation as the world's leading country.

Oh, right!

The Globe's (current) correction:

Editor's Note: In an earlier version of this story, The Globe incorrectly included as fact the hoax that a former NSA chief had been killed. The Globe regrets the error, which was caused by the editors involved not understanding that the incorrect information came from Twitter, rather than having being confirmed by official sources.

"The" error? What about the other half of the lede?

LAPD is reporting Ex-NSA chief Michael Hayen has been shot dead at LAX. Radical Christian group has claimed responsibility on its website.

Doesn't the Globe regret that error? Why on earth aren't they correcting the record on that one too?

I would love to see a law passed that forced news agencies to publish a retraction, with headlines twice as big as the original with a following article detailing the error in fact.

LAX got rid of armed security months ago. Why?

Rest assured that story and the suicidal nature of this non-Christian related man will go unnoticed.

EBD, you ask, "Why on earth aren't they correcting the record on that one too?"
I think we know why.

Ken, IMO they were just trying to weasel their way out of further embarrassment. I think they assumed - probably correctly - that most people hadn't read the original story, and that by admitting to just one of the mistakes - despite the fact that there were two huge ones in the lede - they hoped to give to those readers the impression that they'd corrected the story.

A proper, honest, fully-accountable correction --

"In an earlier version of this story, The Globe incorrectly included as fact the hoax that a former NSA chief had been killed. Additionally, The Globe also included as fact the hoax that a Radical Christian group has claimed responsibility..." (etc.)

-- would have made the extent of their unprofessionalism and lack of credibility even more apparent to those who hadn't read the original.

Thanks to the bloggers, though, they look even worse now. If ten items in a story are completely false -- a hoax -- an Editor's Note "correction" should correct every single one of them.

Its always a war on Christians or Jews. To deflect from the horrors of Islam.Including the body count of Socialism. Like 9/11.Like the gulags or North Korea. Cambodia.
The collectivists , gays, anti-Semites want it so bad , no lie is left unsaid.
Besides now they can keep ignoring all the real Christians dying at Muslim hands.
Even the leftist Norway Nut was first identified as a "Christian".
Some news for newsies. Real Christians pray for their enemies, even Obama.
We are told to love them who spitefully uses us. To support even unjust rulers by prayer.
To forgive even our killers. Its all there in the NT.
Those that don't , sure have no place in following Yeshua.
Violence ( this is even contested) to be used if your in the army fighting for your Nation, or self defence. Never for personnel grudges, or political. As this World is not supposed to be our home or destination.

What another "Gun Free Zone" shooting in the gun ban state?

Regardless, this smells like conspiracy. Ex-NSA?

Maybe a potential whistleblower?

Two birds with one stone, how the hell would some "Christian group",

#1. Know where this guy was going to be travelling.

#2. Bother to commit a heinous crime in such a public, well secured/ surveillance place.

#3. Give a sh*t about some "EX" anyone?

That was the first TSA employee killed in the line of duty. Those American are tolerant people.
