We (the world) didn't have an unusual number of floods, we don't seem to have any major droughts going on, total polar ice is unremarkable, arctic ice bottomed out well within the tolerances slowly being established by its absurdly short baseline, antarctic ice set a maximum record (but just barely, hardly newsworthy) in ITS absurdly short baseline, the LTT temperatures were downright boring, and in spite of the absurdly large spikes in GASTA in GISS vs HADCRUT4 on a so-called "temperature anomaly" relative to a GAST baseline nobody can measure to within a whole degree centigrade, neither one of them did more than bounce around in near-neutral, however much the "trend" in GISS is amplified every second or third month by its extra-high endpoint.

Computer models scream catastrophic warming
Actual data, you know real numbers, say no way.
Some people chose to believe the computer models and accept them as an alternate reality.
Sane people accept the reality of real numbers and reject the fear mongering hysteria as, well, fear mongering hysteria.
Cognitive dissonance runs deep with the eco fruits & nutters.
Yup. Evident to any competent person with a decent scientific education. Watts's guest
Brown is eloquent, I will give him that.
Brown talking about the failures of computer models and the lack of response to them
says,
"This really is shocking. Shockingly bad science, shockingly dishonest political manipulation of policy makers on the part of scientists who participated in the creation of AR5 and permitted their names to give the report its weight."
Criminally so, in my estimation.
Brown is very clear on another point. GW is not disproved, AGW is not disproved,
even CAGW is not disproved, by the stillstand in temperatures. Rather, it is our
ability to make any kind of realistic long range forecast which has been disproved.
If you really want to go on believing in AGW, go right ahead. You won't be alive
long enough to see whether you are correct or not.
"This year" is an absurdly short baseline.
There is a believable comparison between the climate alarmists and the purchasing of indulgences within the Catholic church prior to the Reformation.
Kind of along the line; "Daddy we have to sell the family cow so Mommy will have a place in heaven". "I know Mommy prayed every day and went to Mass every day and twice on Sunday; but the Bishop does need a new carriage and we have to pay for this or Mommy will go to purgatory".
"Beside this the Priests who know everything says if we don't give away our future source of milk the church will not be able to provide a good religious experience for future generations".
I am wondering what it will take to set aside the current priests of misinformation from their hold onto the family cow? Another reformation?
Cheers;
Oh no we have consensus, there have been MOOORE hurricanes and tornadoes, not less - we all agree on that. Facts don't matter we have consensus.
