About Kate
Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

OK ... and this definitely is relevant.
Legal Insurrection / College Insurreection
There is no reasoning with retards. When they won't let you speak then you just punch them in the face. They understand force very well.
It may well come to that when enough people in the west , and in particular North America realize what is going on. Question is, how many will ultimately die before this situation is corrected, and make no mistake it is almost there. Witness the shouting down of NYPD Chief Kelly last week.
The situation in our universities today is precisely like it was in the universities in Russia after 1918 and in Germany after 1933. Anyone with an opinion that differed from the leftist norm was shouted down, not allowed to speak, and later not allowed to have work in their fields of study, and within a few years arrested for their previous words and thoughts.
Our educational leaders should be ashamed, but then, the ones in charge today planned this all along.
Planned? Don't suggest any current university president or VP of being capable
of planning (other than a nice retirement fund). A more sickening group of
people you are unlikely to meet.
It is, I think, time to end the traditional university and move higher education
to an online basis. This can be done with considerable improvement on present-day
education. Instructors would still be necessary but it is possible to manage large
numbers of students online. We've been doing it for a decade at my institution.
There are certain difficulties with laboratory work, for sure, and I do see some sort
of rump college remaining. But the universities have become behavorial sinks, very
expensive ones. They are no longer technologically necessary and they are socially
highly undesirable.
And BTW university librarians HATE books and do everything they can to get
rid of them.
I know the beast; after 52 years I know the beast very well. Time to slay the beast.
When I clicked to start the video I got a Shiny Pony ad. Fortunately, there was a skip ad option after 5 seconds. Is the Shiny Pony trolling conservative websites for support?
When I was in Grad school I got the impression that Universities had replaced asylums. Someone smarter than I should correlate the decline of asylum population with the ascent of University populations. I think this could particularly be true of the Grad School population.
Robert, you're completely correct. My experience with these militant "students" is that they very rarely have any experience in martial arts (most likely far too much discipline and training involved) and they haven't a clue about the legal definition of assault and ones right to defend oneself with force appropriate to the assault. In the case of a physical assault by a mob of students, 3 guys with pistols would be perfectly justified in shooting at the mob until it was no longer a threat.
What's curious is that certain words are such triggers for these moonbats are never to be uttered on campus as merely hearing an individual use such a word would appear to cause them severe physical harm. OTOH, they have absolutely no compunction in carrying out physical assaults against individuals who they believe to be "enemies of the people". No court (aside from the statist kangaroo court HRC's) would convict anyone of using politically incorrect language in a conversation but they would definitely convict an individual who engages in an unprovoked assault. These "students" have their priorities completely in reverse and seem to have never heard of that childhood chant: sticks and stones can break my bones by names will never hurt me.
As Kate points out quite prominently on her home page, "not showing up to riot is a failed conservative policy". There is the matter that Conservatives and Libertarians are sufficiently organized that should they decide to stage a riot, it would make anything that the local moonbats had put on look like a squabble between a couple of 6 year old girls. In one sense it's good to be restrained knowing what one is capable of doing, but there's a whole range of physical responses between total berserker mode and doing nothing. The way one fights a crowd is with another crowd that would love to get physical. It can be done perfectly legally; wait for an unprovoked punch and then fight back 50 times as hard until the immediate threat is neutralized. Have someone available to videotape the whole event so that there is abundant evidence of who started the fight and charge all the moonbats with assault. Having this happen to "students" a few times would quickly result in them seeking softer targets.
WRT John Lewis's comments, as far as getting an education, one can certainly do so online, but then that is ignoring the most important part of a university education, and that's getting laid. Any scientific program needs to be in close physical proximity to an arts program as the latter seems to be filled with not very bright but very hot young women who are easily seduced. Now my memories are from the 1970's and I'm not sure if the same situation applies on campuses now. If the arts programs are now filled with bearded obese feminists with a penchant for braiding their armpit hair, then by all means lets go to a totally online system.
