Tammy Bruce: "Finally! Gallup Has Obama Approval in the 30s"

You know what that means: Over 60% of Americans are racist.

The race ended up being surprisingly close, but in the end the Democrat will win, mostly because Libertarian voters "protest votes" swung the race to the Democrats.

Not over yet... but soon, as Fairfax reports with a huge margin to the Democrat

Virginia Governor
81%IN
CALL- McAuliffe has won based on bellweather county results
R Ken Cuccinelli 47.2%
D Terry McAuliffe 45.9%
L Robert Sarvis 6.9%

Yes, not every one of those votes would have been Republican, but there must be a reason why a Democrat fundraiser would provide large support for the Libertarian...

We all have some beef or another with the CPC, as we would with any party who has governed for 7 years, in the real world. But any flavour of Stephen Harper is better than any flavour of Muldeau

I think calling Jews "Nazis" is in questionable taste, don't you?

Here is the unfireable b*tch's email: ccohen@epasd.org

That's actually creepy. It's not just the sense of anti-conservative entitlement embedded in her banally progressive tone, or the presumptuousness of her finger-up-the-a** inquiries to the father's Facebook friends, it's the current (post-Obama-election) mentality she personifies wherein a parent who merely questions leftist bias in the curriculum is someone to be investigated - by her, in this case, a teacher - and accused of being a possible neo-nazi.

"Conservative" has become a pejorative term in the same way "commie" used to be, but you don't even have to be conservative anymore to be a target - you just have to have a different opinion than the progs.

There's going to be a serious culture war for a couple of decades at the least.

What impresses me is that she a)left a voice message on a stranger's phone, b)sent a reply to him on facebook, and is apparently amazed that these communications wound up being made public. (From her deeply sincere apology: "I assumed my voicemail message was private, but private or not, it was inappropriate.") Stupid, so smug that it never occurred to her that anyone would have a problem with this cr*p, or both those things?

I don't make a habit of writing to strangers but I sent her an email.

Peggy Noonan in the WSJ: "Obama's Catastrophic Victory"

They said if you liked your insurance you could keep your insurance—but that’s not true. It was never true! They said if you liked your doctor you could keep your doctor—but that’s not true. It was never true! They said they would cover everyone who needed it, and instead people who had coverage are losing it—millions of them! They said they would make insurance less expensive—but it’s more expensive! Premium shock, deductible shock. They said don’t worry, your health information will be secure, but instead the whole setup looks like a hacker’s holiday. Bad guys are apparently already going for your private information.

The whole thing here.

Thank-you for the statist teacher's address Black Mamba.

I took the time to send a quick email to this child molester. (Molestation certainly comes in many forms other than just sexual. Teaching that small government, freedom loving people are the enemy, would certainly qualify)

Dear Child Indoctrinator;

Please quit embarrassing yourself.
Kindly read up on the unimaginable horrors endured by citizens who have lived under the yolk of centrally controlled,
big government statists. It would also behove you to read up on how they always end up dealing with the "useful idiots'
that allowed them to gain the unfettered power you so vociferously encourage.
Those that seek to attain their statist goals through the manipulation of society's children are especially vile.

No touching, no tag, no hand-holding for Kindergartners.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/playground-touching-ban-defended-by-school-principal-1.2415409

On Friday, Coghlan Fundamental Elementary School in Langley informed parents of a number of injuries on the playground and laid out the new hands-off policy.
Henceforth any activities involving touching in the playground were banned for kindergarten students, include tag, holding hands and any sort of fighting games such as "Star Wars games."

Needless to say that all the teaching staff is female.

I feel it's important that we engage in these dialogues. Ms Cohen surely appreciates the feedback.

Wow! The reader tips are pretty depressing tonite. Some ummmmm... levity? "A young family was forced out of their house for three days after they are thought to have found some of the world's deadliest spiders hidden in a bunch of bananas from a supermarket".

It get's better!!! "She initially took back the £1 bunch of Columbian fair trade bananas to Sainsbury and was offered a £10 voucher. But the supermarket has since agreed to foot the £1,000 bill for the family of four’s stay in a hotel as well as the cost to have their home fumigated and clothes dry cleaned." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/wildlife/10424785/Family-discovers-deadly-spiders-lurking-in-banana.html

No lie... my Mum, Scottish, told me of spiders that came in the bananas that they would uncrate in the Highlands. I was, too say the least, sceptical.

Turns out you're never to old to learn from Mum.

Russia has failed to appear before an international court that is hearing a Dutch bid to force the release of the Greenpeace protest ship Arctic Sunrise and the activists who were on board her.

Russia announced last month that it does not accept the arbitration procedure before the Hamburg-based International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea.

Even though some of us have bad memories of the Soviet Union, the new Russia is doing somethings right occasionally. Hopefully the trend continues. Russia's treatment of the Somali pirates was awesome.

EBD, thanks for that easily-overlooked Stones gem. I used to amuse myself playing it for music fans and challenging them to name artist and song. One of my friends was in the audience at the Elmo when they recorded it. Her boyfriend at the time was a childhood friend of the Stones' tour manager; it was his birthday that day and she, as a semi-pro baker, was commissioned to bake his birthday cake for the after-show party. In payment she was put on the guest list. Ah, such rollicking times.

https://www.wind-watch.org/news/2013/10/30/dead-in-fire-wind-turbine-ooltgensplaat/

A wind turbine caught fire Tuesday afternoon in Ooltgensplaat on Goeree-Overflakkee, costing the lives of two mechanics. Four mechanics were at work in the wind turbine on the Mariadijk, about 80 meters above ground, Tuesday afternoon. By a cause, yet unknown, a fire started in the engine room.
