In the NY Post: How Obama Crossed the Line from Bulls--t to Dishonesty

Related: Obama's Tsunami of Lies, by Alan Caruba.

Excerpt:

..we have reached a point where the question of the President’s ceaseless lying has finally become a major political issue.
In June The Pew Research Center, which has tracked the various descriptions of President Obama over the years, noted that “The survey finds that the one-word impressions people have of Obama have changed a great deal throughout his presidency. Terms like incompetent and liar now are among the most frequently used words to describe Obama.”

Gee, maybe people are starting to realize that he's incompetent and a liar.

Yeah, that's the ticket: he simply misspoke. At every stop. Using the exact same words. Over and over and…

During the push for Obamacare and President Obama’s subsequent re-election run, President Obama repeatedly promised the American people that if they liked their insurance plan, they would be able to keep it. But on Sunday, The New York Times editorial board announced that Obama hadn’t lied to the American people – he’d simply made a big mistake. “Mr. Obama clearly misspoke when he said that,” the Times said.

May I recommend the .50 caliber M107 long range sniper rifle. Guaranteed to change the whale's attitude big time!!

EDB: The above post was meant for you--and the whale.

Yes, that is exactly what Obama is doing.
So when does the rest of North America wake up?

Half the USA is on some kind of welfare and they want Obamacare. Their leader is taking them FORWARD to the promised land and they don't care what anyone says. Only rational people , what's left of the middle class and voters with functioning brains can see the looming disaster. The rest don't want to wake up and will continue to support this pied piper.

Well, I see that our quixotic media still hasn't learned its lesson. Have a look at:

and

http://www.canada.com/opinion/columnists/Column+Harper+shoots+himself+foot/9114109/story.html

The suicide vest (villains as victims narrative reversal) that they strapped on having gone off before they left the house, the media is on to their next tilt at the windmill: Nigel Wright as victim. They evidently happened on this brainwave (brilliant!; the mental agility is stunning!) based on the commiserative comments of Mr. Kenny and Mr. MacKay at the Calgary convention (although Chantal Hebert had started to get around to this last week, in the column I linked to the other night where she "misinterpreted" the findings of the latest IPSOS poll).

That's funny: I don't seem to recall any such sympathy for John Nunziata after Mr. Chretien booted him from the Liberal caucus for, you know, being a bit insistent that the then-PM live up to his election promise to "raplass da JST".

No matter. Consider a couple of hypotheticals. First, if you were Mr. Harper, and your chief of staff came to you and said, "Sen. Duffy is strapped for cash, and Mr. Gerstein has refused to pay his illegitimate expenses, so I'll do it, 'kay?" What would your response have been? "Sure (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)." Or, "Nigel, are you out of your f***ing mind? This is his problem, not yours or mine" (particularly after you told Mr. Duffy that he had to pay back or be expelled from the Conservative Senate caucus, and considering your, er, supposed vindictiveness and controlling nature). I think the answer to that question is pretty obvious. So, while I too feel badly for Mr. Wright (who is certainly astute enough to know what the answer would have been if he had asked), the idea that Mr. Harper knew about the payment AND approved it is utterly implausible.

And second, what would have happened if you had followed Mr. MacDonald's advice and taken the line, "let the RCMP and auditor general do their work"? Recall that this line precisely mimics that used by Scott Brison as Minister of Public Works during the Gomery Commission proceedings: "Let the commission do its work". That worked well -- as well as it would have worked for Mr. Harper, who would certainly have been excoriated by the media and opposition for not doing enough, and therefore condoning it.

Incidentally, in regard to the latter question, Ms. Hebert's assertions on the matter the other day are inaccurate, again: she claimed that Mr. Harper had maneuvered himself into the same position as Mr. Martin by expelling implicated party members. Her timing sequence is wrong: Mr. Martin waited until after Gomery had concluded to take such action, whereas Mr. Harper has moved precipitously. Another "misinterpretation", I guess.

Always a pleasure reading your assessments.

What RockyView Redneck said.

Really now, just how many times can one misspeak until advisers call a conference? Just like Hitler and Lenin, keep repeating the lie long enough and the weak minded and gullible will believe you.

"So, let’s recap the year in climate so far, shall we?

* The Nenana, Alaska “ice out” date breaks the old record.
* Arctic minimum sea ice extent rebounds sharply from 2012 lows.
* Antarctic maximum sea ice extent sets new records.
* Tornado activity to date is near record lows.
* The hurricane season in the Atlantic basin has been (and probably will end up being) a dud.
* We have now reached 17 years with zero trend in “global temperature”.

Others can add to the list…"

Market Watch (WSJ): Is this a U.S. manufacturing rebirth?

"Last week, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. announced that it would be replacing some of its existing inventory with American-made products.

The news was a made-for-TV event, of course, with U.S. Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker on hand for the announcement. And it’s undeniable that the company that made a name for itself selling super-cheap goods still has its fair share of cheap Chinese-made trinkets lining the shelves."

Good the comments!

Any love of Peer Gynt has forever been shattered as the U-Tube video has an ad before it plays. Bad enough but it is the junior Trudeau messiah. On video, linked to by SDA, in Canada. Arrrgh.
