"Never Again"

Becomes "not just yet".

Is there nothing that Obama can't do?

Lying, malicious bastard risking nuclear war. Damn. The stupidity!!!

Do Obama and Kerry have a functioning brain between them? The Iranian mullahs hate Saudi Arabia and want to control Mecca. If the Iranians get the bomb so will the Saudis as a deterrent.

www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/nov/7/pakistan-built-nuclear-weapons-saudi-arabia-report/

Nothing good will come of this. Incidentally it is rumoured that the Israel Navy has nuclear tipped missiles that can be launched from their submarines and this summer the IDF posted a video of their 'extreme range exercises' refueling their F16s fighter-bombers in-flight to show they can reach Iran if the need arises.

Peace is always preferable to war and creating even more enemies in the region.

Obama is sneaky and untrustworthy but the policy is not necessarily wrong.

A Foreign Policy genius.

The danger here is when somebody guarantees Israel her security.

Just in time to announce "Peace in our time"...cause Veteran's Day is just a few days away.

Looks like 'Bibi' is more than a little annoyed...and has clearly enunciated that Israel is not bound by any such agreement.

Evidently, such a prospect has all the pleasure of a cruise on the Costa Concordia.

“Sounds like Obama decided to enter the Persian nuclear bazaar to haggle with the masters of negotiation and has had his head handed to him,” Dubowitz said.

I don't think this is a good policy but really it's not America's job to protect Israel and especially SA. They can both neutralize Iran themselves.

It depends on what you call peace. In the late '30s some nations appeased Hitler to buy time to re-arm for a war they knew they would have to fight eventually. Obama is buying time to finish wrecking the U.S. so it can't and won't fight eventually.

"Europe’s [and the Obama administration's] policy about Iran’s nuclear program can best be summed up as 'Hurry up, sane and Western Israel, and take out this awful thing–so we can damn you Zionist aggressors for doing so in our morning papers.'"
Victor Davis Hanson, 2005.

From the land that gave the world Intel, Microsoft and Amazon you get an Obama-Care roll out with a dysfunctional website at the cost of $1 billion.

I'm sure the "Obama-Nation(tm) Defense-Care" roll out will be equally as stunning...imagine what they can achieve this time with a $1 trillion!

Cheers

Indeed. Not to disagree with you, very much. I suppose that some
of the "appeasers" thought that they were buying time for rearmament,
and rearmament was taking place. Even Neville Chamberlain encouraged
it - he wasn't a complete fool nor a pacifist. Unfortunately, the pause
also gave time for Nazi Germany to build up its armaments further.
Even so, the German General Staff thought itself ill-prepared for war
in 1939 and wanted two more years.

My own conclusion has been that on balance war in 1935 or 1937 would
have been less cataclysmic than the actual events; but it is hard
to say for sure. The brilliant plan devised by von Manstein and von
Rundstedt shattered the powerful French forces in a matter of weeks,
and its success could not and was not anticipated (even by the Germans).

As for the Filth who is US President, he has indeed been working hard
to dismantle US military effectiveness. Public statements from the
chiefs of the US Army indicate that only two brigades are combat-ready;
officially one-third of US air assets were disabled from the sequester
(I have heard higher figures, more like 100%),
and may be back to full functionality now; and the
decapitation of the US military has been noted several times in this
blog. I had a strong impression at the time that the Filth was
considering intervention in Syria that senior military people thought
that they lacked the ability to intervene; the air assets
moved to Jordan have not been heard from since. Were they trucked in,
one wonders?

No. War is evil, and it is often the lesser evil, as George Orwell wrote.
The evils which an unjust government can inflict on its people are
often worse than any evil which war can cause, for which we can see
the history of China under Japanese occupation (horrifying) and under
Chairman Mao (more horrifying).

There are lots of very stupid Israelis and their
Prime Minister is one of them. Unfortunately, stupid Israelis are
likely to be dead Israelis, within three or four years. As John
Bolton said, Israel should have attacked Iran two or three years
ago.

In 2008, Obama said he would meet the Iranians without pre-conditions. Ladies and gentlemen, we are witnessing a prelude to war. If Israel were to attack Iran or Saudi Arabia, all Islamic nations would band together to retaliate. The US has made it clear it wants Israel gone. That leaves us (perhaps a few other nations).

Obama is such a b-----d.

It's rare to hear a statesman speak so clearly.

WTF Obama? Are you so flushed with your successful policies in Libya, Egypt and Syria that you think you can win the lot or do you really hate the West.

Do Obama and Kerry have a functioning brain between them? The Iranian mullahs hate Saudi Arabia and want to control Mecca

Unfinished business from 1300 years ago - succession through Mahommad's family or tribe, etc.

Peace is NOT always preferable to war. Sometimes war becomes necessary; slavery and mass murder suck.

You clearly are not a student of history or humanity nor life itself.

This is going to end badly. Very badly.

On the contrary I have studied history extensively and not just believed the crap on the news.

It is the US that has been the aggressor in Iran.

The Iranians have now elected a more moderate president and there is a chance for peace.

Lies. Mossadegh was a corrupt incompetent dictator and America had a side-role in his ouster.

The Iranians have now elected a more moderate president and there is a chance for peace.

LOL

Netanyahu describes the folly of this overture very succinctly in the third article:

"That the deal that is being discussed in Geneva right now is a bad deal. It’s a very bad deal. Iran is not required to take apart even one centrifuge. But the international community is relieving sanctions on Iran for the first time after many years. Iran gets everything that it wanted at this stage and it pays nothing."

This plan would embolden Iran who see compromise as a sign of weakness to be exploited. This also ties in with Saudi Arabia unhappiness with the Obama regime. Having said that Sharia Islamists are utter nutbars whether they be Sunni or Shiite. They should be ostracized and cut off from any of the benefits freedom allows, particularly foreign aid.

And for God's sake, get off Middle East oil. North America should/can be energy self-sufficient; let the European and Asians deal with these idiots. BTW, David Suzuki and Justin Trudeau, go f*** yourself!

Yes Kevin. If that helps you sleep better at night, you just keep on believing that. All that history studying must have been too hard on you.Peace is good. Hitler made peace with Stalin too. That worked out well.

Lots of people study history. Not all of them learn.

The ruling council of Iran selected a candidate for President who has loyally and adeptly played the role of "moderate" for the purpose of dissembling in negotiations with the West.

One of the basic rules for deception operations in strategy is that if you want an enemy to believe something, make it appear to be what he wants. It works especially well on people who think they are cleverer than they actually are.

Obama is lying again. Bibi isn't talking about nothing. Israel has enough inside info to know that a deal is being framed that will enable Iran to continue its nuclear program. Obama and Kerry know what the deal is, and they are lying when they say 'no deal has been signed'. They hope to lull Israel and the dozing American public into ignoring what's going on. Once it's signed it will be hard to reverse it. Israel will look terrible if it attacks Iran after a 'peace agreement' has been signed.

This deal enables Obama to claim a 'diplomatic breakthrough', and avoid war for a few more months or years. Iran will use the deal to enrich more uranium close to the 20% purity cutoff, and build or buy more missiles. Later they will 'break out' suddenly with many nuclear missiles, armed and ready. Obama won't mind if Israel is eventually bombed, enslaved, or ethnically 'cleansed'. He gets support from Iran, and his key adviser/handler (Valerie Jarret) is Iranian.

Obama believes his actions will be admired, because his sycophantic staff tell him so.

And the Kriegsmarine thought they would be equipped to challenge the Royal Navy for control of the high seas not before 1948. To get his generals to carry out the reoccupation of the Rhineland he had to promise they were to back down if the British and French moved against them. People thought they needed time to rearm against Hitler, but you are right, the balance could have been more favourable to our side earlier. There was a tendency to assume Hitler was understating Germany's military strength because conventionally nations wanted to be stronger than others thought them if it came to war, so they overestimated Germany's strength to compensate when he was actually bluffing with less than he had.

This will not end well. Obama is throwing Israel under the bus like Chamberlain threw the Czechs under the bus in 1938 over the Sudetenland crisis.

This Iranian deal (albeit not yet published) is the second nail in the coffin of world peace, the
first being the destruction of Pax Americana through the murder of Moammar Khaddafi.
Soon enough every nation with enough money to afford nuclear weapons and delivery systems
will have both. Canada needs nukes and we need them now.

The three major rogue states in the world are North Korea, Iran, and the US. We will see which
is the most dangerous.

I recon we are selfish.....if Iran wants a nuclear weapon we should give them one....or two.....

Oh my. I would rather think that Netanyahu is stupid than believe that this once-brave man,
a real hero, has lost his nerve. Now he is seeing things clearly; but did he not understand
Obama et al. two and three years ago?!? Did he not notice that Obama's eminence grise,
Valerie Jarrett, was born in Iran and that Persian was one of her childhood languages?

"Canada needs nukes and we need them now."

A nuclear attack on us is like a attack on the USA as most of what we have is owned by US interests anyway. Furthermore we don't have a Army, Navy or Air force worth talking about so any attack on our soil is likely to be a missile failure in either distance or direction. Refineries or the oil sands in Alberta would be the only lucrative target and since China is a major stakeholder now that also seems unlikely. Iran can't reach us and the USA can have us whenever they feel like it, so that only leaves N Korea. I think we're still good for awhile and the danger we face is from the progressives within. Nukes won't save us from them.

Here lemmi sum it all up you!!

Kerry and Obama together equal one fully functioning C&NT ......giving birth to a whole lot of evil everyday!,

I certainly agree with you about the progressives within!

It is an interesting idea that China might protect us! Apart from Chinese economic
interests, there are a lot of Chinese in Canada. Well, we were a happy backwater
of the UK until they jettisoned us to enter the European Union, at which point we
rejiggered ourselves to be a backwater of the US, and that was working (Chretien
aside) until the Americans went crazy; so a second rejiggering to become a backwater
of China somewhat makes sense.

If there were an award for the best opening sentence in an opinion piece, surely this is the winner:

"Lt. Col. Ralph Peters says Obama’s foreign policy is always the same, he promises a Ferrari and delivers a bicycle with 2 flat tires."

So it's remarkably similar to his health policy, economic policy, education policy, and everything else then?

The Muslim President in action.
He has to wait till his coalition is big enough to surround Israel.
Now more than ever since his MB pals screwed the pouch in Egypt.
America is not enough to destroy. He want to be Caliph

" big enough to surround Israel."

Israel with under 7 million jews is already surrounded by 125 million Arabs. Obama obviously does not cheer for the underdog. He would if Israel was Muslim like he is.

He wants Iran to develop nukes first. That way this Pontious Pilot can wash his hands of any fallout so to speak. Plus lets face it Israel beats 125 million Muslims every time.
