complete with a cut to George Strait, Blake Shelton applauding, and Taylor looking clueless.

Life is a beautiful thing.

Any George Straight cover should be good, when done by Paisley and Underwood... like mastercard would say, priceless.

That's great to see. Thanks Kyla!

The lefties are screaming on Twitter about how unfair this is. I guess they didn't see Russell brand host an awards show and call W a retarded cowboy and tell everyone to vote for Obama.

Yes, Taylor Swift gives a swift master class in not knowing how one is supposed to react to a particular event in a public place until a universal consensus is reached. And pretty-boy Keith Urban demonstrates with his facial expression that he's married to someone who makes her money from Hollywood studios. He's made a career of sitting on the fence while making grinding motions - you can hear it in every note of his music - and he didn't let anyone down..

COAB. God bless the rest of them who who feel free to laugh openly and heartily at the unvarnished truth without fear of repercussion. America needs a whole lot more of that at the moment.

Kayla, did you read the comments? I thought liberals could speak English, apparently I was mistaken.

Good for Paisley and Underwood for funnin the beast.

Please help me with COAB, if you would -- I don't know what that means, even having Googled it.

I completely agree that Mr. Urban had his "Dixie Chicks moment" with that stone face, which is very sad, given his penchant for the banjo, even if he's no Steve Martin, and for Nicole, who is the only actor/actress I would pay money to go see. George certainly won (laughing all the way to the bank), Taylor probably survived (for the reasons you describe), as did Blake, for different reasons entirely.

Just so you know, the far-and-away most popular radio station in SW Ont is BX93 ("Today's Country, BX93 -- a division of Bell Media"; they have to get that little factoid in there, which is truly scary). And every afternoon they have the "Five O'Clock Double Shot", wherein they pit one artist against another for votes, and the winner gets to on to the next day, etc. Brad Paisley is so popular (even City-TV covered the CMAs last night, and were advertising it for weeks) that they set up a contest, a couple of weeks ago (on "Brad Paisley Day"), between "Old" Brad Paisley vs. "New" Brad Paisley.

Quite apart from which, you, and/or Kate, should set up an open thread, with two or three questions to be answered, on the health care debate.
