Mr Premier, Tear Down Those Windmills

CTV;

Canada "should be proud" of its status as an energy superpower, says Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall, and to claim that status the country needs to be able to move those resources across the country to meet the demands of its global customers.

In an interview with CTV's Question Period, Wall said Canada "needs more pipeline capacity," to move oil and natural gas to ports on either coast.

Wall says projects such as TransCanada's Energy East pipeline and Enbridge's Northern Gateway pipeline will move oil to ports where it can be shipped overseas, which will also help suppliers get fair market value for their product.

Barney Fife had a particularly abusive show today with nothing but solid anti-Conservative rhetoric. Our soldiers seem to have their panties in a perpetual knot. They seem to think that the government should keep on soldiers who have lost the will or the ability to soldier until they get their pension. I guess the assumption is that those who work for government are all so useless that another one who can't do his job is irrelevant. Try collecting WCB when you've lost the will to work.

Apparently the government is holding guns to people's heads and making them live in substandard military housing. Or maybe the whiny soldiers want to pay for cheap housing but get premium housing. Why don't they simply rent off base and quit the sissy-pants whining?

So we should develop and market our natural resources for the benefit of Canadians?

Where is the self flagellation? Can you drive this down a bike path? Does it come with a fanny pack? Are there any totems involved that can be planted in politically unfriendly jurisdictions? Is study involved (if so) is it politically compatible with our Colleges and Universities?

So many questions with one darn answer, besides the fanny pack :)

When Saskatchewan drops their PST, then I'll believe their claim to "energy superpower".

Till then, it's NDP lite.

"Mr. Premier, tear down those windmills."

I second that motion.

johnbrooks, we are still digging out of the Marxist hole.

No you're just digging it deeper. Wall = socialist.

Just as a matter of interest, how is the development of the Bakken in Saskatchewan
going?

Kate, they can't tear the windmills down because... ... I'll think of something.

Oh, right, the windmills are religious icons, they're the gods of the Neo-Pagans.

They represent a return to the ancient religious beliefs found in cave paintings.

yeah right lets build a pipeline through Quebec, like they need another reason to hold the country to ransom. All we need is to have some Francophone Nationalist with their hand on the valve that shuts it all down until we massage their egos one more time.

Apparently not as good as North Dakota, 182 active drilling rigs vs. 90 in Tommy Douglas Land.

275 in Alberta.

I agree with Wall. Absolute national imperative that oil pipelines to tidewater be built as quickly as possible. The Federal government has the ability to see that happen over protest from provinces. Get it done and then fight an election over it. Time for Canada to realize they are in the big league and that there are forces outside the country who are actively working against Canada becoming a true economic powerhouse.

Little piss ant Turdeau should be totally on board as his admiration for the Chinese could facilitate increased sales. IMHO Canada is at a turning point in her economic evolution as we face a major challenge to our sovereignty and thusly self determination. It has become very clear that the CPC will contest the next election on economic issues, their strength. If Harper combines this with economic self determination he will capture patriotic and anti-American votes from across the political spectrum. It should work.
