This sort of non-consensual holocaust penance has also been an incredibly effective tool at keeping guilt-ridden, white "conservatives" on-side, "anti-racist", and anti-nationalist... except for one tiny nation in the mid-east. Just watch Sun News if you'd like a taste of what racial nationalism can look like, and then just imagine if it was YOU and your European people they were talking about.

If history is not taught then the chance of it repeating itself rises... Exponentially.

Why is it that Jews make for the best citizens in terms of charity and community, but at the same time are complete abject cowards. This puzzles me. Why are they mostly Communist? The video demonstrated a sad lack of education on one subject that probably could be expanded to include the greater underlying civics, geography, and history. The most frightening element is that people who complain the most are likely staunch defenders of public education and believe that it can be reformed at the ballot box.

Haven't we already seen and commented on this video? In any case, the wholesale slaughter of humans is not unique to being Jewish. History documents many other slaughters of innocents. Pot Pol and his slaughter comes to mind of some 2 million. Stalin certainly played a role in the death of ~10 million Kulaks. There were millions upon millions of casualties in both WW I and in WWII. Then there is the Sudan. And don't forget Idi Amin although he killed only about 500,000. And Rowanda. And this is only recent history. We could reach back in time and find many more slaughters, relatively just as large considering the population at the time.

I don't oppose teaching about the Holocaust. It was terrible and inhuman. But it was not unique in my view. It's just that if we are going to talk death and man's inhumanity, lets include the entire package ..... or maybe that's just to long for a one hour talk.

As for the students lack of knowledge of the holocaust,this is the least of their missing knowledge. They know so little about anything.

The major and better known episodes and institutions for which these and other regimes were responsible are listed in Table 3. Far above all is gulag--the Soviet slave-labor system created by Lenin and built up under Stalin. In some 70 years it likely chewed up almost 40,000,000 lives, over twice as many as probably died in some 400 years of the African slave trade, from capture to sale in an Arab, Oriental, or New World market.

In total, during the first eighty-eight years of this century, almost 170,000,000 men, women, and children have been shot, beaten, tortured, knifed, burned, starved, frozen, crushed, or worked to death; or buried alive, drowned, hanged, bombed, or killed in any other of the myriad ways governments have inflicted death on unarmed, helpless citizens or foreigners. The dead even could conceivable be near a high of 360,000,000 people. This is as though our species has been devastated by a modern Black Plague. And indeed it has, but a plague of absolute power and not germs."

But if we are going for true honesty in schools on mass murder, then let's not forget the staggering deaths and suffering from ALL the Crusades over the centuries and the current Jihad against all non-believers by hardcore Islamists.

As per school agendas, I see weak, spineless political leaders constantly handing over the entire responsibility of educating our young to teachers' unions. By definition, these groups exist solely to benefit teachers, not students.

Why teach them about the Holocaust, they'll just be more willing Gastapo agents for Obamba once they see where it could go.

It is not necessary to have a class subject on a narrow topic, as just the Holocaust and a few other mass murders. Teach HISTORY in total properly based on facts. When WWII is covered in the classroom, touch on all the important bases and one of those bases would be the Holocaust.

The ignorance of those students was breathtaking. Mind you, I got through high school(NB) and we never made it to WWII, ran out of time. But my personal interest was slaked by TV programs, movies and the fact the generation of my parents lived during the war.I would devour books on history including WWII. Don't rely on the schools too much, the best they can do is to at least touch on the subject in respectable depth. Then it is up to the student to follow up on their own time and educate themselves so they don't turn out like those embarrassing pathetic excuses of educated people in the video.

and history is an ever evolving book of knowledge. Read an article recently were it stated that 1600 Jews killed in one Polish village had been attributed to the Germans, turns out that the other half of the village, catholics, actually did the killing. one other comment for all those who dislike the Jews. there are less than 15 million Jews in the world today. why do so many of the approximately 7 billion in the world want to destroy them? if Jews were birds they would be a protected species. for mr. salt, one country killing almost half of one race is beyond the pale. the muslims in the middle east would like to see all Jews eliminated. what say you to that?
