About Kate
Why this blog?
Until this moment
I have been forced
to listen while media
and politicians alike
have told me
"what Canadians think".
In all that time they
never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio - "You don't speak for me."

Got it! great snag Kate.
I thank Brian Lilley for making this must-read expose on the rotting husk of public broadcasting in Canada widely available. Too bad it was not in a more inclusive format like pdf so I could send it out on my mailing list - however I will pass on the amazon link.
I hope Brian's next expose is on the systemic police/crown harassment and abuse of hunters and lawful firearms owners and how the police function in Canada has devolved to a political agenda enforcement function.
Damn! Bought the book months ago. It's a must read for all taxpaying Canadians.
Got it on my Kindle Fire. Thanks Brian.
Well darn. Cannot download it to my kindle here in the US.
Got it, thanks. Wish he'd used a proofreader, though. Ain't no such word as "Forword" and that's just the Table of Contents.
Awesome! Thank you!
Maybe try it again Sue. My Kindle & Amazon account are both registered in the U.S. and I had no problem with the download, although I am physically in Canada at the moment.
Downloaded it to my Kindle for PC. Will download to the physical Kindle when I get near a cell tower.
Could have been a great book. It was a semi-literate mess. The story still needs to be told.
Thanks Brian!
I just finished reading the first chapter. Evidently CBC's mantra is: "Never let the facts get in the way of the story." If this were not part of their culture, they would be quicker to apologize when caught in a lie. CBC can only see gain; losses are for the taxpayer and the citizens smeared in their propaganda.
Does it exist in dead-tree format? I kindle not.
Thanks Kate.
gordinkneehill,,, I downloaded the app for PC from the Amazon website.
It downloded and initialized just fine,,,glancing through it now.
Yes it is in dead-tree format. I have one on order from Amazon, and is no doubt available at your local bookstore.
Prithee, sire, specifically which app? I can't find one that seems applicable.
For those who are not aware yet - you can download a kindle app for your PC/Laptop at Amazon -

The Kindle app? Oh, brother! BTDT, toasted it off the computer. They store the damn book out there in the cloud someplace; you don't even own the bits. All you get is the privilege of looking at them on a screen.
If I buy a book, I want to own a book as a physical reality, not some virtual book.
bitter clinger; I did the same and purchased the book last year. However in a discussion with another Snow bird from Canada, a retired Canadian bank employee, with several Middle America Snow birds the retired banker type proudly stated "I have never watched Fox News.
The reaction from my American friends was amazement at the remark, because the retired banker type had just made, the all too frequent Canadian Snow bird type of comment. This being along the line of Fox News reporters are all biased to spread the thinking the Tea Party is not bad.
My immediate question of "if you have never watched Fox how do you know what the Fox reporters think? I thought he was going to say he heard it on CBC, but not being a complete ass, he waffled and muffled something like "I watched a couple of times".
The Americans laughed out loud and shook their heads. For some reason I felt uncomfortable because this guy was a Canadian. Anyway I gave him my copy of Brian Lilly's book and told him to pass it on to his wife and any other uninformed person. Cheers;
