    Imagine getting pulled over while on a family vacation and having small-town cops accuse you and your family of being drug couriers. Then imagine hearing that you have two options: Fork over your cash and continue on your vacation or face felony charges for money laundering and child endangerment, in which case you go to jail and your kids get handed over to foster care. That’s what happened to Ron Henderson and Jennifer Boatright while traveling through Tenaha, Texas, a town that regards piracy as just another way to raise revenue.

    According to this report in the Mississauga News, a TorStar property published by those not good enough for Star:
    – 59 per cent of Peel’s “racialized” residents – 431,300 – have experienced racyism.
    – “experts” who apparently know better say it’s closer to 80%
    – the racysm breaks down this way: verbal insult (43 per cent), poor service (23 per cent), being ignored (19 per cent), physical harm (3 per cent), unmentioned by the News (12 per cent).
    – Oprah’s purse incident(!) is called a “classic example” of racyism.
    – Paul Fromm now lives in Mississauga – need you more proof of the racyism?
    – Some United Way asscrack has a sidebar that quotes liberally from a Dalton McGuinty-commissioned survey from 2008. Looking forward to the United Way asking for money!

  19. Some US blogs have jumped on the “Ford is crazy” bandwagon in the current media frenzy. I sent along this blurb to offer some balance.
    As a Canadian, we know this is just another leftist media pile-on of Toronto’s conservative fiscally tight mayor. It’s gone viral. Up here the media has been on a vendetta for years to get Ford out of the leftist’s way. Two days ago the media had hundreds of their reporters harassing Ford in order to sell soap back home. When he went to a CFL game on the weekend he was MOBBED by well-wishers and fans. He’s been charged with no crimes. Obama admitted doing coke while a member of the choom gang. JFK was a drug addict and a womanizer. Ted Kennedy left a woman to drown to avoid a DUI charge. These liberal politico’s are worshipped by the same media excoriating conservative Ford.
    In Ontario Canada he is universally loved by all except the leftist unionized trough denizens. He has been charged with nothing. We don’t care if he does heroin highballs and drinks a gallon of whiskey every day. As long as he keeps making the left and their media minions heads explode, we love him.
    Everyone else can take their hypocritical biased outrage and shove it. He’s a flawed human but an honest politician, and that ain’t half bad.

    It’s obvious she figures no one is paying any attention to her, they’re going after Mayor Ford who did his job well in spite of his own personal demons.
    Ontario is a disgusting mess and she thinks, according to her ad, all we want to know about her is she likes to run when she really should be run out of town on a rail.

  29. I came here to make a post about that sandwich story – you beat me to it (more on that later).
    As to the first story, it makes a great headline, but you need to read the details. It’s a licensed daycare, and the nutritional guidelines aren’t theirs – it’s the government’s. They were simply complying with government nutritional regulations. Failing to do so could cause the daycare to lose its license, so directing your ire at them seems entirely unfair.
    On to the sandwich story.
    There’s really not much more I can say about the absurdity of claiming that ‘talking about sandwiches is racist because some cultures don’t eat bread’. His solution is to talk about ‘pitas and tortas’ instead. I’ve never even HEARD of a torta before. Clearly, the culture I belong to doesn’t consume tortas, therefore, by his logic, he’s racist against me for talking about them.
    Class dismissed.

    It is well known that liberals/socialists are cheap! They are well known to not to part with ANY money that they deem theirs, only yours; thus, it was easy to predict that the Obama Administration would not be charitable, nor give two isht’s about the plight of the world and global warming.

    They have an article up ” Medical marijuana users outed in Health Canada privacy gaffe”
    This is their lead story on the ‘Canada’ page. It tells a tale of horror that the nasty Conservatives have set upon this lady.
    She is a licensed pot grower and recieved a letter that ” was delivered in an envelope that referred explicitly to the Medical Marijuana Access Program and included her name and address on the envelope.”
    Hmmm,letters do require an address. It helps in getting them delivered to the right person,and if more than one person lives in a residnce ,office,etc., this helps that letter get to the right person. Oh the humanity of it all.
    Posties are forbidden to share info about their customers,even to each other.
    I googled her hyphenated name “Debbie Stultz-Giffin”, and great googly moogly, the woman is a pot activist and a Harper hater. She is the chairthingy and co-founder of ‘Maritimers united for medial marijuana’.

    The liberal caucus has decided to nickname the Harper government the “fraud squad”.
    Don’t know how long the liberal leader must have pondered that one but it took all of two seconds to get a definition that this term referes to a branch of the police assigned to root out corruption and fraud. Which if this is the case, I can understand why the libs are feeling threatened by the revelations comingo ut to the senate.
    Think I’ll start referring to the liberals as the Liebrano’s again.
