Now my local government the GNWT, has stated as fact, that CO2 emissions will cause the planet to warm.
That is in their documents.
So can I sue them when it fail to warm?

Since the inexorably exponential effect of the logarithmic and already mostly saturated effect of human CO2 only really got started in the 1880s, and was arguably countered by aerosols before the west got cleaner and now again by the third world revolution, drawing a line from 1660 doesn't really blow AGW out of the septic tank.

But lets not also forget that 2 degrees is only when things are supposed to be more worse than better, with more than another entire degree of beneficial warming before we hit neutral. And I don't think that even includes the benefits of CO2 for plant growth. "Excess deaths" in Europe because of cold weather are more every single year than from the heat wave summer that hit France and GBR so hard.

On a timescale of 800 years, asteroid impact becomes a far more important problem than global warming. Heck, we might get hit on Friday April 13th, 2036 (we'll find out for sure in 2029).
