Well, that makes two parties.

"Liberal Democrats do not fully trust Obama".

It's smart for the Democrats and Obama to abdicate to Reid. He's far less popular than Obama, and that way the tarnish will hit Congress rather than the Presidency....

Which, of course, is BS, but there you go.

From Obama's viewpoint, the single and only purpose of Obamacare is to redistribute wealth. This has been his objective from the moment he stepped foot into the White House. In his distorted view of the world he sees America as some horribly unjust place, particularly unjust to minorities, especially blacks. He is a radical in a nice suit.

He does not care whether the bloated Obamacare system actually addresses the challenges of healthcare in a sensible way or not. He does not care if it is poorly implemented. He does not care if it tackles costs. These and other matters amount to details that he feels are beneath him. It is unbecoming of a King (or a dictator, take your pick) to worry about messy details, that is for someone else to sort out. He knows too that his wealthy liberal friends will not be adversely impacted by the legislation.

For him, the bigger objective of transferring wealth has been accomplished, and that is why Obama finds the current fight uninteresting.

The "Obama-Nation(tm)" has all the over confidence of Ali Pasha on the eve of the Battle of Lepanto.

Should be epic...

Well stated BC !!

Aha! An admission! So his strings are being pulled!

Always thought that there was more than 'bama's stretching snout that reminded me of Pinocchio.

That is what it is all about in a nutshell.

More to it than that, BC. It's not merely that Obama finds this uninteresting. It's that Obama is utterly incapable of managing it. All the difficult stuff throughout his two terms he's subcontracted to others: Pelosi handled health care reform, Clinton dealt with Libya, Bernanke handled the economy, and now Reid handles the current budget standoff.

Every time there's a major crisis for the US federal government, somebody else steps to the plate and Obama is nowhere in sight. He is fundamentally a very shallow man; there's no "there" there. This latest assumption of power, in this case by Reid, is a true testament to the fact yet again that Obama has never remotely been up to the job of President. Giving teleprompter speeches to partisan rallies is about the extent of what he can do.

Remember, this is the most absentee President in US history, and he's been absent on everything in the past five years.
