Weaselzippers: Lack of Security At Healthcare.gov Exposes Private Info Of Healthcare Navigators.

The list is here. It's a long list of community health centers, progressive leaning groups, and includes one James Barnett, who lives at 4728 Rainbow Curve, Montgomery, Alabama in a neat little bungalow. He uses a Hotmail address.

I wonder what a Obamacare navigator contract is worth? I mean, outside of its value in looting the taxpayer and spreading the spoils among progressive friendlies.

So CGI are the morons responsible for the most expensive database in the history of programming. Suddenly it's starting to make sense. There never was any intent to produce a working website to allow people to connect to Obozocare, what Obozo was looking for was the most incompetent and corrupt software company in existence. Likely the bulk of the billion+ dollars spent on a firearms database, which could have been implemented on a 64 bit machine using SQL and Linux at 1/1000 of the final cost, was passed on as bribes to Lieberals. Probably the most creative aspect of any programming they did was obfuscating how they spent the money before the cash filled envelopes reached those individuals entitled to their entitlements.

Every one of Obozo's investment failures has also been marked by a curiously large diversion of taxpayer funds as "donations" to the Dumbocrat party. A cynic would have to assume that this was the purpose all along rather than any "green tech". The only "green" in these utter failures is the color of the cash that has disappeared into the pockets of the entitled members of the political class that surround Obozo.

Given that donations to Obozo are down, and the Dumbocrat party is in debt, what better way of raising capital for his 2016 re-election than by choosing a software company best noted for siphoning large amounts of cash from taxpayers to the political class. $650 million for a web site that doesn't work does appear a bit steep until one realizes that only a tiny fraction of this was used to probably hire some cut rate programmers in India and the vast majority went to politicians. (There is a Potemkin website where a couple of programmers trumpet the open-source code that is used in healthcare.gov and how "transparent" it is. Forgot the link and remember viewing it on my Android tablet which, unlike my laptop, doesn't log the title of every page I visit so hopefully someone remembers where this link was posted on SDA)

Given that Obozo wants a single payer medical system closely integrated with the IRS which he has corrupted, a failure of this magnitude would convince the LIV's that having a plethora of insurance companies is far too complicated and why not let the TOTUS control it all. Also, given that people can be fined for not enrolling with Obozocare, there's a brand new revenue source and I'm sure that aspect of the legislation will be strictly enforced.

Someone on one of the other threads raised the issue that it may be impossible to write code to implement the US healthcare act given that it's full of logical contradictions. Well, actually one can get around it by writing code like:
j = 2
k = 2
and further down:
l = j+k
if (j=k) and (l=4) then
if (Obozo_adjustment) then
l = 5
end if
end if

I see a "Lamprey Healthcare"

HA HA HA!! How appropriate!!!

Well, since the Liberals got defeated, obviously CGI had to find other sources of gra... I mean income, and the DemocRats have lots of kic... I mean funds to pay fri... I mean contractors. (Dagnabit, gotta be so careful what you say on the intertubes these days.)

Clearly, CGI was the perfect choice for the Obamacare system. What other company could take a gun registry database you could run on a laptop and blow it up into a two billion dollar, ten year long extravaganza?

Maybe CGI is owned by Koch and is part of the vast right wing conspiracy. Is Harper a secret director of CGI?

Seriously, listening to that clip suggests that they've done more to advance conservatism than any politician.

Given Obama's past political activities and who he was associated with, that this failure was the plan all along is not so farfetched. Think Reichstag fire.

CGI database having security problems, shocker.. If I recall, their gun registry was hacked hundreds of times, providing thieves with a shopping list of what to steal..

And, via Drudge, Obama is using the fiasco as an excuse to raise even more money for the Dems. "Give us more of the same, and we'll give you more of the same". And people will be stupid enough to pay! PT Barnum was an optimist.

Ceegeeai: Old Assiniboine word for "beware of worthless beads and trinkets".

They ought to put together a google map mash-up of all the navigators because I'd hate to see anything happen to them.

How they spend so much for a single system like this is beyond me. On top of it, I've read articles that state it failed a test of 2000 users just before launch, great example of gov waste and stupidity. Wonder how much Google invested to get a site that could take their traffic initially.

Even if it was rolled out well, you would think hackers of all types and nations would be busy creating chaos in such a public and now important site. My guess is its full of holes.

You would think that a simple Google query of CGI might have raised some concerns, eh?

Yes Jamie, they use SMALL brown papers bags!!!

All the usual parasites appear to feast on Dem largess. CGI seems to be a favorite vendor and budgetary black hole of leftist governments. The track record speaks for itself - the one thing they seem competent at is sniffing out lucrative government contracts then working them into vastly greater income by defaulting on delivery - perfect vendor for spend-thrift liberal administrations. As Lilley says, it may not be all CGI's fault - perhaps they are being asked to do near impossible things on a restrictive budget and are forced to cut corners.

At any rate, it isn't CGI's competency at question here as much as it is the judgement and motives of their government employers. One has to wonder if Obamacare roll-out was scripted to fail, perhaps the whole program is designed to be a dismal failure to justify full government control of the health delivery industry.

Listening to John McAfee the other day, he was asked to "fix" the system and declined because he felt it couldn;t be fixed, it has to be scapped and built from the bottom up again if it is to do what they want it to. He said the basic architecture of the system was crap because the personal data in storage and in transit is wide open to hackers - He speculated that the system was so woefully unsuited to its intended use that he wondered if delivering health care may be a ruse for government acquiring personal data on users. The whole system appears to be a health care taxing system and Obamacare collects more data on users than the IRS - the IRS is the Obamacare collections arm - so perhaps the mandatory doubling and tripling of user premiums are just more revenue streams for a predatory government.

If this thing is run anything like "Homeland Security", I feel sorry for the peons who are at the bottom. My nephew's experience with HS was a complete disaster. He was told to report to his new job. Then he was told they weren't ready for his group. Then he was hired and spent a couple months doing busy work. Then they were all laid off and told the "contract" had run out. It is all about connected cronies getting contracts and making a killing on the taxpayers' dime. Besides the wasted money, this system leads to projects that never work, like Obamacare.
