We Don't Need No Stinking Giant Mirrors

Sorry, but by far the "biggest" Ponzi scheme in Canada is the CPP, although I guess an argument could be made that our inexcusable national debt also qualifies.

Perpetuated by both the Libs and Cons, neither shows any interest in putting their country's well-being before their party's.

Bastards, all of them.

Industrial Grade Stupid.

Ontario is just so screwed, but can rest assured its shit doesn't stink because they are doing the Greenie morally correct thing.

BC is doing the same thing, just at a smaller scale.

As per the definition of a Ponzi scheme the entire workings of the Liberal government of Ontario is a freaking Ponzi scheme. We're paying the highest energy bills in North America and beyond. It's a freaking mess and the McGuinty led government passed on to Wynne continues down the same path. The wind turbines are whirring and whumping and the solar "farms" are visually polluting our scenic lakes hores and countrysides.

Again, I will vote for whichever party will jail the Ontario Liberals and outlaw the party altogether.

If only, Matt, if only.

Please don't hold your breath. You seem like a good guy.

What has been done to Ontario's once vibrant energy sector in the last 15 years is nothing less than criminal. Ontario now pays more for energy than most large US centers. The GEP generates surplus energy at times of low demand so it is dumped on the US grid at a loss of 2 billion a year, add 200 million a year for line loss from poorly maintained transmission grid - both losses passed down to provincial utility subscribers. When low cost electric energy left the province a lot of power dependent industry went with it. Crony vendors have raided the public treasury to replace deleted generating capacity and we see the product sold us is both deficient and costly. A study in gross mismanagement, irresponsible planningregulating and venal governing.

Of course this will never come up in the election debates or the narrative leading up to it - because the PCs are as guilty as the present regime of making the hydro electric industry a crony corporatist parasite.

Remember that every time you look at the new increase in your power bill -Calling it criminal is an understatement.

McGuinty and Wynne are beyond disgusting (hell, so are all the Liberals and the NDP) but who puts them and keeps them in office?

What is sad about this is the innocent people who are ripped off, not so much the useful idiots.

Oh come on, what's wrong with paying 29 times the market rate for a product between friends.

(based on a 2.75 cent per kwh average market price for power for 2013, when they are paying solar producers 80.2 cents)

"McGuinty and Wynne are beyond disgusting...but who puts them and keeps them in office?

You nailed it.

It's a pity that the landowners who put up these CRDs (consumer rip-off devices) didn't apply a bit of introspection and analysis before they signed the contracts. I doubt that many of them would be complicit in this scam if they had realized at the time that their actions would cause hardship to their grandchildren and their neighbours.

Crony capitalists are "friends with benefits".

McGuinty's work done. I sent this to my Ontario friends.
